Look at Mario, he has that FLUDD thing in Mario Sunshine for crying out loud!!
Look at Sonic, if this was SA2:B stuff he'd be bouncing Mario around in a little ball with that Magic Hand thing for crying out loud!!

yea sonic would win but it mainly it depends on the arena u know they have weaknesses an if mario caught sonic on fire he could make a fire tornado an pour mario would be gone but if he was paper mario he would burn up

The battlefield was set, the sun was beating upon middle earth. Two armies set for battle.
The battle started *sonic and mario come face to face*

Mario started with the first hit by shooting a water jet from fludd, it seemed to have a very litle effect as sonic dodge it, and bounced back with that little "spinning thing", mario blew up and out popped a little rabbit thing.

Then all of a sudden, he was sucked up by a vaccumn cleaner
"I'm a Luigi nimber one"

Sonic would completely pwn Mario. How? Well, Sonic can spin jump, spindash, bounce attack, light attack, homing attack, use his magic hand attack....
And generally, he'd run rings around Mario. He'd be too fast for Marios great balls of fire to hit!!

Yes, I am an obssesive Sonic fan. Im no where NEAR as bad as I used to be, but im still obssesive in some ways.

Sonic would SO beat mario, because he can outrun him (by far) and he has better attacks. The best thing mario can do is throw a fireball and he needs a flower to do that! Homing attack would rule! I'd also like to point out that sonic has access to sheilds and if he has at least one ring he can take a hit before dieing and if Mario hasn't been eating mushrooms then one hit and he's dead! Also, imagine Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Big, Shadow, Rouge, E-123 (and the rest ), Vector, Espio, Charmy and Mighty against Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi and Yoshi. Even add about 50,000 Toads and Sonic team would still win. Lets also consider that Mario is, like, a middle aged plumber, like Luigi. And Peach and Daisy are useless because they always get themselves captured, and Wario's just a fat evil middle aged plumber and Waluigi is a lanky evil middle aged plumber that nintendo just settled for because it was about 5 minutes until lunch. The only one who would stand a chance is Yoshi (and DK come to think of it ). Also, the oldest Sonic character is 20 (Vector) and all the Mario characters are short, overweight and middle aged. I rest my case... what a silly question
