Giving away items

Has anyone ever given away useful or poweful (well...semi-powerful) items before to complete strangers online?

I ask this as on my first few forays online in Ep 1&2 I played with some friendly people. I had picked up some Def & Evade Materials during the time with them that I didn't feel like using on my FORnewm (honest I wasn't drunk) so I just dumped them at the feet of the other players and along with a Scape Doll I had acquired.

Another time I was, for some reason, playing with some lower level characters. At the end I gave a Varista to a Ranger. Despite the fact that the character couldn't use it yet, I figured they could use it soon and I already had another Varista floating around in my bank.

All the items I just gave away were legit (unless my copy of PSO 1&2 was cheating!!)

Has anyone else done this with rare items? I'm an in my thirties and I'm wondering if I'm just getting far too mellow in my old age?

Varista is a weak special weapon, if you want to give away usefull weapons, give away Dragon Slayers, Justy's, good mechguns. Everyone finds a Varista, you should give away what others cannot get imo.

I gave my friend a double Saber, but this was offline multiplayer so they were not strangers, so that may not count

I have not gone online, but I read a lot about Being a good Player. Some of it is just common sense, but there are some little rules online, which results in good vibes flowing off you and back again. A little bit lika a Resta, that comes back.

If you find any item that you do not want, or your chara can't use, don't keep it for that other chara, if there are team mates who can use.

If you do this kinda thing, chances are people will do the same to you. Lessay
You are a hucast, but you are journeying around with a FOnewearl, and you find a lovely Twinkle Star/Summit Moon/Cadecus ect. Of course you cannot use this, but your FOnewm can. But you give it to the FOnewearl anyway, and next day, the FOney finds a Chain Sawd, but the player lets you have as a present. But if you are playing with treasure hogs, and they just take all the good items whether their chara can use it or not, go with someone else.
Good players make friends easy.

it always nice when you give sumone a weapon u cant use but they can, and then they find one you want and they give it to you, its the PSO community man! lol

I've given my best friend a Snow Queen with 15 Hit, plus a pair of Hearts of Devil.

Mad, yeah?? There's logic.
He's willing to give me a Yas 9000M when he gets one and he's already made me some nice Mags that I use quite often, so it's a fair deal.

i gave also a varista but that was to my firend nuke-luke and my sister always get's mono,di and trifluids and ofcourse strong magic and strong cane,roda or wands! but it maybe not counts!

I was give a dark flow once by a person I was giong arounf Forest with, but it wasn't really free, it cost me one of my Yamatos.
