getting pso online with AOL guide
#1
ok its got to me the amount of people that say this isnt possible when i know that it is. Though it can be expensive (some good routers sell aroung the £80 -£90) and a little complicated it is possible to connect a gamecube to the internet using a Router. this is somewhat simplified to help people not get bored and fall asleep.

I'm assuming that you have a idea how to get the broadband adapter hooked up to the gamecube and that you have a computer with a lan port either on the motherboard or a card (looks like a phone plug) first you plug the router into the power and hopefully you have some network cable (RJ45 i think, should be in most computer shops for not much, go for the one that says 100Base-T just to be safe) now plug the router into the computer and enter the ip address into the internet browser and use the password and name ( all 3 should supplied with the router) now most will have an auto detect feature but if not you'll get a screen like this
[Image: screen.gif]
now enter the account your gonna use for the router into it like that and make sure "requires a login" is ticked, the name is in the same format "with @aol.com at the end and in all lower case) and the password needs to be under 8 letters, lower case and no numbers i think, after this click apply. (also pppoa most likely will have to be used, pppoe will work but pppoa is easier to get working)

Your almost done now

now go hit reset on the router if theres a button (if not go turn it off then the computer off then the router on) it should have a light for connected to adsl and it should be lit up after a little time if you like try turning the computer on and using the internet without aol actully running, isnt it fun! now all you got to do is connect the cable or a differant one from another port in the router into the gamecube broadband adapter and it'll work just like you had a differant isp

The end

and dont get no idea's e-mailing the aol account, its a dummy one and never used ever
