They should just let us pick realy. Most names i like are ids that are crap so i have to add things to it all the time

It makes you wonder, doesn't it. The majority of people wouldn't have figured out by themselves that a section ID can manipulate what's in your game. I bet that originally (going way back) Sega must have leaked it themselves. Think of the interest it builds.

yeah man!! And now gamer mags and e-zines pay to be the first to provide cheats to attract customers. It's a major part of the promotions and value of a game.

You can change IDs online, like Mimas said, it's very useful when you come across rare monsters.
Just remember that all the team has to go to Pioneer 2 and back for the ID to change (going from to Cave 1 to Cave 2, for instance, will not change it), if you're not sure, check the tekker.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought the question was can you change the ID of a character you made, instead of changing the Character ID is running under the influence of in an online game .
