Its probably just because the original question had been answered and there was a lot of spam in the threads. If theres no more point to a thread then its better off locked. But il leave it to a mod to tell you exactly why.

DK said it. We've had a lot of spam recently and we are getting fed up of it. Going slightly off-topic is fine, it's natural. Hell I do it. It's when it's gone way off or it's the same old posts. And for the record, I did most of the ones in Lobby this morning.

I know I'm not a mod here, but I'm just saying that there really has been a lot of spam around here as of late. If those people don't watch it, they may be taking a bumpy ride on DE's bannedwagon.
