Personally i could never play PSO offline, its too boring. The best part of online mode is being able to chat, trade and cooperate. Wait until you get in your first game, then you'll realise how fun it is.

This is from gamesradar.com -
The joy of getting your tactics in a battle sorted, with Hunters taking the lead with melee attacks, Rangers distracting, trap-stopping and stalling enemies by firing into the fray, while Forces race to revive fallen friends, heal the weak, boost power and throw lightning at multiple targets.

I have a nice little story on how I got online:

Okay I went to a mall one time and I finally found a bba (I didnt know that yet) and then here's the shity part; he asked me if my computer dialed up to get online and when i said yes he told me i needed a modem, and so I spent the next few weeks caling evry store in NW ohio and they only had fukking bba's so then I started calling SE michigan stores and finally found one about 60 miles from where I lived. (yeah now you know how far I went just to get online) went there and finally got it, then the real hell began for three days: I tried ofr three damn days trying to get online but i couldnt figure out why my MSN user-name and password did'nt get accepted, so I cal MSN, figure out im doing everything wrong, try it the right way and when I see that lobby come on the screen, I swear to god I thought I was gonna piss my pants Big Grin

I have said this many times b4 to other wounderous members and I'll say it once more:

Online on PSO is one of the greatest thrill you will have out of your entire gaming life.

Nice little story there Ivan!

Online really does allow u 2 feel the whole PSO experience. Wen u first get online and see the lobby, if ure anything like me, ull think, woooooooooooooow, and gape and stare at the greeny colours while listening to that music. And THAT is one hell of an experience, ive never forgotten about that. Oh and playing the game online is pretty cool to!!

Online is the best. All I did is order a BBA of nintendos website store, got a hunter Lincence and Boom Online play. I dont see how could you survive offline even though 1 person that I know is at level 143:eek:

It is true online certainly is very good. But be warned Pork Star you have to be prepared for sitting on your game cube for days on end without venturing out the house, don't forget to eat and remember to take a bath at least once a month. When i first got online i did nothing else but play non stop. I was late for work all the time (well not really a change) i stayed up so late - but i'm sure you will discover it all for yourself.
Have you got a keyboard as well?

Yes it does rule, and yes, it does consume your life.

If your characters name if the same as your board name, then you might have trouble getting online. Certain words are banned and this also affects what character names you can have. Pork is a banned word on the servers, although if it let you create the character in the first place, you should be ok.

If you both want to play and surf at the same time you will need a router.
If your just gonna use a cable modem you can't you have to keep turning off the cable modem and then changing the leads.
BUT YOU NEED ETHERNET.
