Star ocean is a great rpg, in my oppinion its the best rpg on the ps2. But shadow hearts covenent isnt out over here yet and that got good reviews so i might like that better.
Orphen, have you played shadow hearts 2? If you have i would like to know what you think of it. If you like it then i know it must be good.

I haven't even played Shadow Hearts 1, so i would have to get back to you on that one dude, Sorry. Heh. I am a tough critic on games because I have life experience in them. As my father tells me, i used to play video games even when I was about 3 months old. I never knew what I was doing, but I did actually use to play. Heh, it feels like a born proffesion to be a jack of all trades when it comes to video games when I put it that way. My most favorite titles though, are RPGs. I hate sports games, but I can be really good at them.

I saw shadow hearts covenant and the cover made me want to buy it so bad, im still deciding on whether i will have the time to play it if i borrow it from the store

Damn. I guess it's a good title I am missing out on. How sad. I should get it when I have some money coming my way. At the moment I am currently broke.

Shadow hearts 2 does look like a really good game, but i wasn't a huge fan of the first game (i did like it though) So i was just looking for a second oppinion.
Anyway, on topic. Does anyone know exactly how the character system in star ocean works. I mean i think there are 10 characters in the game, and you can only have 8 in your party.

anyone seen Bujingai:Forsaken City though? I want to play it soooo bad but i know that if i borrow it from the store it'll just sit there and collect dust cuz im usually so busy:'( but we're off topic... Star Ocean must have lots of possible endings and such since you can pick whether you are like scorpio and leo, right?

Um..No. You can only have three characters in your party at once, and I think of all of the 10 characters that join your party, I think two only join for like a little while, then kind of leave.

I know you can have 3 in your main party, i mean your whole party.
I read in a review that you will get different characters depending on your actions.

I think so. It might be the case. Just now I got Maria in my party, so that's 4 people in my party. And right before you get maria, some insanely crazy stuff I would have NEVER predicted happened. This game is so awesome, and it's unpredictable storyline practically baffles me. Things I would find impossible to happen in an RPG, happen, once you reach that point. Definitely get this game. It's a superior RPG, even with how far I have gotten (Which isn't that far)
