Which do you prefer?

I was playing on PSO today when I thought to myself that I hadn't been playing Episode II very much. So I decided to give it a go. At first I didn't really like doing the VR Missions, I felt there was no point. Actually I didn't dislike them, I despised them.

I eventually finished the missions and came onto the real story (which is actually quite good). THe one thing that struck me though, was the levels. I had never seen anything like them. The huge amount of detail to the surroundings put a smile on my face.

I just wanted to know, Which do you prefer to play on, Episode II or II? Explain your reasons if possible.

I think the VR missions, expecially Alpha are poorly made. I hate the tight spaces. It must be a knightmare for a ranger.

Spaceship is ok.

And I just don't like the way the CCA is done. Takes a long time to do. And Gee.... Don't get me started on them!!!

I like EP2, its way more fun, interesting and looks schweet!
I played EP1 to death on Dreamcast, i cant be arsed to play it anymore! Forest is alright, but Caves, Mines and Ruins are all too alike if you ask me... Square room, Corridor, Slightly bigger square room, Long corridor and oh look... another square room! :|

I dont really like any of the Episode I levels much. I got upto the second level on Episode II (its underground somewhere) and I've gota say, its truely amazing! No where on Episode I can you find level like this. Like you said, on Episode I there mostly square rooms, then coridors and square room again. But not on Episode II.

Oh and about the gun, I've already got one. Just dont use it much because its to slow for me . And dont be stupid, my tech levels arent anyway near 15

Who cares what it looks like. Graphics aren't everything, they are nice but graphics alone do not make a game. I won't get into a theological debate with you about graphics and gameplay. lol.

Lvl15 techs rule!!! hehehe. I can freeze whole loads of monsters in Ult ruins. Or is it that lvl160 FOnewm, with lvl 30 Rabarta, next to me? :p

Whats the next most important thing in a game after Gameplay you look for ? For me it has to be decent graphics, that doesnt necessarily mean the highest polygon count and uber texture mapping, but in presentation and artwork, since PSO is great on the Net anyway, surely graphics make a difference in your opinion towards the game... Especially some of those seen in Episode 2, they just look really nice, i can even just stand there for 5 minutes just looking at all the artwork and think, man that mustve taken ages!

PSO offline single player gameplay is pretty crap to be honest, its like Diablo 2 ; Completely dependent on Multiplayer to make it any fun! However, on the Net, Gameplay is great! so long as theres people to play with, thats where the incentive to keep playing comes from, to try and get better items than other people, to reach higher levels than them, to co-operate and have fun! Heres an example ;

What would you rather do ?

- Go to the pub on you own.
- Go to the pub with your mates.

While drinking can be fun on your own, after a very very short while it becomes completely fucking boring, yet throw in some of your buddies and you have an awesome time!

And about that FOnewm Decs... the answer would most definately be... YES!

Graphics are not everything in the slightest. Some of the old games beat the new ones anyday. I just loved the old AD&D games. Much more than Baldur's Gate 2. It was much easier to understand and kill things. lol.

Yes graphics help, I won't deny that.

btw. Your analogy with the pub should have surely been to do with graphics?! I agreed with you that gameplay/teamwork was better than graphics.... You didn't need to prove it.... lol. Or are you saying to work in teams is better than on your own... Pretty obvious really
