I'm confused..

My friend keeps talking about copying items from his character to mine. I'm a little iffy about this. He's already got some 500,000m, and I don't know if he got it legit or not.

From what I understand, there is no way to copy characters. Am I right?

I dont think you can copy characters but you can copy items. Its called dupeing and can only be done online. Well i think you can only do it online

It can be done offline as well. If it's a dupe of a legit item, it won't cause any harm to your game. If it's a dupe of a hacked item, it will, in my expierience, increase the risk of an Fsod.

In either case its not legit, dupes are not legit! btw, 500,000 meseta isnt much, if youre on ultimate you can get up to a full bank in no time! (Hacks do not affect FSOD, i think its your bad luck).

Well....too much negative data would cause a lock up ina regular hacked game. I would think the same applies to PSO.

I.e things that are meant to be extremely powerful = negative data. The console is straining to process all that data FOR ONE object, so you can continue using such and such object. When coupled with several objects, the game will freeze. And that's how it was back in the old version of Game Shark days.

I don't know much about this hacking stuff because i just play the game because it's exciting... but my friend tried to copy his character to my and my friends gamertag and the whole gamertag dissappeared :| ... could someone tell me how you can copy a character to another gamertag? Or is it even possible?

actually, now there are items that causes fsod.
if someone equips it everyone in the game fsods, but this is only 1 special item, not hacked wpns like those with 300% ect.

No, i'm pretty sure thats not true. I know plenty of people who use over 300% weapons and it has NO effect. And what are you talking about whenyou say too much negative data? What do you classify as negative data? If you mean hacked/non legit items, they are the same type of data as normal items (even if they have been tampered with).
