You're probably right.

Anyway, I think the e-mail idea might work, and whoever said ST can't do anything about the hackers, they must be able to, they built the servers! They can just up the protection!

Also, could hackers hack in and update their HL for free?

Yes for there is a cheat that restarts serial/access/pw
