I used to be Nintendo devotee, but recently I have seen too many RPGs on PS2, and next to none on Cube. Also I have seen too many games in general that are meant for cube but waltz onto the PS2 instead.
So should I get a PS2?
I know a place where I can pick up one for £80, with things like controller, connecter and mem card thrown in. Is that a good deal?

1. You should get a PS2. you get so many good games that are much better than the GC.
2. Paper Mario is an RPG which is comepletly funny and is an RPG. It is on GC.
3. RPGs are stupid. You never play yourself. You can only put your name in. The only game you play yourself is an Eyetoy and guess what!!! Thats on PS2.
4. That is a good Deal. Go for it.

I would.
Some games only come out on the PS2. Also games like resident evil, id rather get on PS2.

Anyway, resident evil 4 will be a reason to have a GC, its going to be amazing to say the least.

I have seen two great RPG deals! Star Ocean: 17 quids at play. com
And I can pick up Grandia 2 and Final Fantasy X for 20 pounds the pair at my local store.
I will go to pick up my PS2 tomorrow, and get all those lovely games!
Sides, it has a three month warrenty, so if anything better comes along I can just take it back!
I mean on Amazon, second hand PS2s cost £40, and with all the add ons, (memory card for example, and the cables), I can see the price adding up.

Whats wrong with not playing as yourself in RPGs. Thats a good thing for most gamers since most of us have no lives. and Eye Toy is the only game that you play as yourself. Unless your talking about customizing your own character but theres still not many games like that

its your choice... i have a PS2 and i barely ever use it now... i dont use my game cube much besides PSO tho

you want a console for RPG's so get X-box (i h8 them) fable has just been released and it looks/plays/sounds amazing its like black and white rpg style only better or stick to a pc and drool over the fourth coming world of warcraft the only thing ps2 got going for it really is final fantasy and for that just get a ps1 and play ff7 over again
