Yeah don't trust everyone online you see. I have a more than onetime play policy to get/give guild cards and I make people show me all their items beforehand. Most the hackers out there are malicious and they are intending to harm anyone who takes things from them. That's why I joined the Shadow Council so I could have a legit team to play with. An old cliche that pops into my head for this problem:"Play with fire and you're gonna get burned." or in PSO lingo "Play with dupes and you're gonna get corrupted." I'm sorry to hear about your corruption, but you gotta get it through to your son that hax are not the way to go. Even if the dupes alone aren't the reason, the means of making them or those who give them to you are the problem. And sure his "I want the rare no matter how" train of thought will be hard to break, but that's easily solved by locking him in a closet with no food for about a month. Hehe. Good luck with that! (legitness is the way to go)

My son has now been banned from playing online by his Mum, as it is her Hunters Licence, Gamecube and modem. He will be allowed back online when he has learnt, in her opinion, not to accept any and everything including deliberatly duped items. He must also learn to play legitimately only.

As for the corruptions, the memory cards are seperate except for his 1,2 and 3. If it was coincidental then I'm very suprised, but the fact that he had been accepting hacked, duped etc items (and trying to learn how to) went against him.

My partner has no desire to spend her money on a Hunters Licence and then lose it because of someone elses actions. Nor does she wish any other person online to suffer from the actions of another person using her Hunters Licence. In this family we have a rule - "with privilige comes responsibilty."

Finally, yes I'm real old. All 32 years of OAP. For all you youngsters out there giggling away - you'll be 32 yourself one day. Laugh now (can't think why) and suffer later. Big Grin

Very well said. You have a truly honorable family code and hopefully your son will soon come to accept it. Maybe a little time of offline mode only will convince him. Well either way, I wish you luck with that!

Oh, almost forgot. You're not that old. I'm 20 and I've got some friends around you're age, they're all great people. But I do still fear getting that much older. Hehe.
