I Gamecube dieing?

Ok i went down to my local gamestore last week to pick up metriod prime2 after seachin for 10mins i found the GC section i was lookin on the shelf to find a few other decent games, and the only games the had on the shelf was Donkey konga, PSO EP3 and a few other crappy games like scooby doo and dexters lab i think. When i went to the counter to see if the had Tales of symphonia (did i spell it right) anywho the said that they wernt getting any more GC games in cos the wernt selling,then the cheeky tw*t said GC was crap any way and other than paper mario that there wer no decent games coming out anymore so he said to me name 10 good GC games due to realease in 2005 so i named the usual (zelda, res evil4,four swords)then he told me that GAME will stop selling GC by the time res evil 4 is out! so does anyone else think GC is gonna end up like the DC or is it just me :S

I think it could be just you......The Xbox freezing isn't uncommon, the PS2 breaking happens very often......the gamecube seems to be the most durable system out there. On the other hand, gamecube doesn't always have the greatest games around.

My friend said he was just sitting at home playing on his gamecube when all of a sudden, his dog ran by and it caught the cords of the gamecube and ended up sending the gamecube flying down his stairs. lol......it still works to.

Gamecube does have some major titles that people look for.....but nintendo lacks what some of the older youth audience want, such as blood and gore......and basically games that literally scare the pants off you. The Gamecube was more or less, built for the younger generation.

I expect stores will end up not stocking anymore of the consoles mid-2005, while still selling games for it. Thats a personal opinion taking into account the run of them so far

Nintendo yes does have plans for another system but i dont think it'll be coming out soon. The guy who said GC sucks can suck a missle for all i care. Shove a nuclear warhead down his throat. You have to remember peeps, nintendo is about the whole family having fun. Unlike Xbox and PS2 where they are mainly based on blowing em up shoot em in the head watch there guts fly all ova da place. I think Sony and Microsoft are gonna have to do better, since nintendo has been around longer than they have for consoles. And not to mention let see the ps3, 6billion dollar invested into it, and the ps2 dies afta what 3 years? what a waste of cash. Xbox now it just keeps freezing now adays, my friends are going nuts when they play games and arent able to save cause there in a battle and it freezes. yes the gamecube has the few glitches, i will admit that, but its not that hard to get back to where u were. but you can also look forward to upcoming titles of a game thats been around for so long. Like PS2 and xbox they make a few games and dont make anything afta those few games anymore, no prologue, or continuation, like how long is halo gonna last? a year? couple months? my friend beat halo within a day and halo 2 within 4 days and has said it isnt really worth the money cause u get bored of the game so fast. Nintendo makes there games where u want to back to it and play some more of years on end, I still play games on the snes lol and n64 main games i play mario, perfect dark, zelda, bond, mario kart racing and stuff, and the rest of the people also join in cause its fun and its a classic. PS2 what they did now was built the harddrive for certain reasons, they havent been selling much lately. Only reason why there doing is to try and compete with the other companies, Im looking down the road and i think bout 2 years time Nintendo will take over consoles and handheld divisions of game play. The other companies have no chance at all I say. Nintendo knows what there doing, they know where to look when trying to sell there products, making it fun for the family to play. I mean like when this new zelda game comes out, that thing is probably gonna sell out lol, sell out each time it hits the store.

i think the gamecube will stick around for a little while longer at least for i'm guessing the next two or so years at the most, because like you guys said there are a lot of cool games still coming out for the gamecube and if PSU comes out for the Gamecube(which i think it will) at the end of this year or early next year it will be quite popular .

My gamecube's broke, and dying here, no one likes it because it's like of first-person shooters. Well they can all go F***K themselves!

Yesturday i went to a few game shops in manchester and still theres hardly any games for the GC,just the usual metroid prime,paper mario,ect but then on the way home i stumbled into gamestasion in chester and the still have a whole row of new gamecube games,and they were all really good games,i even found a brand new ep1&2 in there so there might still be hope for GC yet.

Yes it is sad to see the Cube sections at the stores getting smaller every time I go in but what I have noticed at our local EB, and Darkmatter can concer, that the Gameboy games are picking up. Their section is getting bigger everytime I go in. I agree with all points made by Darkmatter, but that might have something to do with us discusing this on the phone for upwards of 1 1/2 hours at a time. The Cube will never goaway just like the NES, SNES, and 64. Nintendo does know what they are doing, exactly what they are doing. When the NES came out it revolutionized the gaming industry. And u must remeber that microsoft and sony had been out in the buisiness of technology for a long time before then and then they come in right in the hight of the gaming industry to take advantage of what Nintendo had made. I am rambling on here so I will open the floor to more of peoples opions.

Some people say that the next Nintendo console ('Revolution') will be alike the DS compared to the GBA - a brand new console not replacing any other. According to Miyamoto, word has it the 'Revolution' will be released competing alongside the Nintendo Gamecube (Aswell as the GameBoy Advance, and Nintendo DS). Nintendo will supposedly be releasing Gamecube games for a long long time ahead, even when their next console comes out, because as their popular saying goes from E3 last year - the time where Graphics is everything is over, as they cant get any better then they already are - Gameplay is the future!
