....^.^; we were on topic, we were talking about long words(more of a smart-a$$ remark but oh well, <shrug>) and he asked about words in other languages; this topic is a competition and conversation concerning long words not just find one that is the longest, or that could very well be a very short topic. No offense Decs, but that was a bit uncalled for...

The longest ever word was pronounced by a man as he fell down a bottomless pit. It was, and I quotes, "Oh FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.........

Well Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is a village in Wales, but it wont be in the dictionary.
The longest German word i know of is: DONAUDAMPFSCHIFFAHRTSELEKTRIZITAETENHAUPTBETRIEBSWERKBAUUNTERBEAMTENGESELLSCHAFT.
It is the club for subordinate officials of the head office management of the Danube steamboat electrical services.

Holy crap this thread is exhausting to read. I won't even attempt to try to pronounce the last two words posted without taking a breath. It's interesting that people are finding these words, but a more important question is why do we even need these words. If no one can even pronounce it or use it in everyday conversation then what's the point. By this point in time language inherits new words only to confuse us.
