What do u think about this? I think the players are going way to far now. As it is they already can play one game and be set for life. 1million a game come people thats not right. I agree with the managers on this. The players don't need another salary increase, it has gone to far as it is. Now they are talking that the lockout will run into next season. Doesn't make a damn difference to. What do u think?

Grrrr...I hate this stupid lockout. Hockey happens to be the ONE sport I like to play and watch but this stupid lockout is keeping everyone from an exciting game to watch. The players had a good reason to be upset but drawing the situation out longer is unacceptable. I need hockey season back, so regardless of who's right or wrong, I just want this resolved soon.

They're both terribly in the wrong: the NHLPA cannot put an offer on the table that the Owners can afford; and the Owners will not accept an offer by the NHLPA even if it is a little higher than usual. Screw it, the season's aborted, and I've lost some of my interest in hockey. Meck, I'll watch it still, but it just won't ever be the same.

Well it is all quite simple actually. The National Hockey League Players Association did not like what they were being paid (for the most part), so basically they stopped playing. The Owners were attempting to get them back on the ice by making offers that the Players did not like; and vice versa: the Players made offers to the Owners in which the Owners could not afford to pay the Players.
So, after many rounds of negotiations - the Chairman of the NHL called off this season (predictably) just a week or so ago. Over money..what fools.

Ah Double you are right for the most part. The owners LOCKEDOUT the players because they couldn't afford to pay them not because the players wouldn't play. Manly it started when the Players asked for more money. Yes I have lost interest as well, truelly I don' care how long it on for now. The only people who truely lose are the people who are out of work right now. The season is called off as of the other day.
This is the reason I put that "What Lockout." option up there, I didn't think everyone knew about it.
