Vega Is Half Dead.

It is not immature, in fact it is possibly one of the most mature things possible. To be willing to do what you hate in order to save what you love is truely remarkable.

And Sega will still be too wrapped up in themselves to notice anything going on.

It is totally immature, you're just as much of a kid as they are if you think that's the answer.
By your theory if I started smoking, perhaps I may cut the chances of people getting lung cancer.
#53
Those two are completely un-related, smoking is deadly, and if you smoke, that gives the people around you second hand smoke too... actually INCREASING the chances of people getting lung cancer. A better example would be a war. We don't like somone being so militant, so we go in there, fight, and kill them... But yet you consider World War II to be necisary? To remove the "evil" from office?

It is practicly the same thing. Think of this as the first world war in PSO. Not as some "immature" stunt.

Again I must state,"It is the mark of dedication to do somthing you hate in order to save what you love."

While I've always understood the concept of not sinking to someone elses gutter level I have a question to Scott Bull.

Based on what you can and can't do, what do you suggest is the best way to deal with FSODers, Hackers and Dupers?

To MisterBud I also have a question. How do you know that those who FSOD, Hack and Dupe don't already have access to the knowledge of how to make FSOD ineffective?

The only real way for the problems of the people above to be dealt with is for Sega to addopt the ruthless attitude that the makers of Half Life 2 have. Will it ever happen? I have no idea, but so far their record seems far from impressive.

You are so full of tripe misterbud, you're just saying that in an effort to convinve yourself that it's OK.

By that theory then, I should steal a car in an attempt to reduce car theft in my area, or perhaps commit a murder to lower the death toll.

As for the question, just keep reporting them to Sega, also, point out the fact that you're paying for a service that they're not fulfilling.
If you FSOD an FSOD'er, what does that make you....an FSOD'er, which means someone can FSOD you because you done it to them, then you're no better than what you're against.

And then you cant report them, because youre just as bad. No, im sorry Misterbud, but on this occasion i actually agree with scott. What you are suggesting will make the situation a million times worse, and may even give ST an excuse to shut down their servers altogether. Wink

Keep reporting them? What will that do, we have been DOING THAT for months now, and they still persist. Don't even say they will run out of Serial Codes or Access Keys, because for every guild card they have, they have a Serial Key. It will take months, if not years for them to run out.

There is NO way to solve this peacefully besides Sega becoming ruthless in their acts against these people. If this was the PC, I would suggest something like RenGuard ( http://www.renguard.com ) but as it is for the GameCube, I don't see how this is really possible...

Scott Bull, please stop using completely idiotic examples. If you are going to try to disprove my theory, at least use some examples that are REMOTELY RELATED. The comparasins that you have provided so far actually contribute to the problem, not give the offenders a taste of their own medicin. So don't tell me that I'M full of shit until you can come up with a good comparisin.

(I'm going to leave you with another saying, a different one this time.)

For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action.

(P.S.) "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Obviously these FSODers haven't heard of the Golden Rule, but I suppose it is time to inform them. There is no way for them to have others do unto them what they do unto us, unless we take actions into our own hands.

(P.P.S) We need another official legit block. Perhaps some obscure Japenese block, since the hackers never bother to check the Japenese servers, that and Sega Team spends more time protecting the servers there...

My examples are completly sensible, FSOD and stealing a car are technically both breaking the law.

If you go about FSOD'ing someone, that makes you just as bad as them, so let's say you FSOD and FSOD'er, does that give me the right to FSOD you, because you FSOD someone else, because that's what you're proclaiming.

It seems to me that you're the type of person that wouldn't be able to sensibally have a reasoble debate with these people, and would just hit them.
I'd have a reasonable debate with them, then hit them.

By that theory, if you have any downloaded mp3's on your computer, I should send a virus to your computer to prevent you from using any audio files to preserve the music industry, but I'm not like that, my maturity means I'm beyond that, and won't sink to other people's level.
#59
Trust me, you know NOTHING of my character, so don't even attempt to bring that into this.

Am I not sitting here having a debate with you? Doesn't this mean that I am capable of having a sensable debate without going "OMG U R T3H WRONG I R HIT U!!!!!111oneoneoneoneelevenonehundredeleven"?

PLEASE STOP using comparisins to my "theory" that make no sense at ALL. There is a differance between giving people a taste of their own medicine and instigating a problem. Obviously you can't see the differance, or you would quit making referances that speak of you otherwise.

Ah, chill guys. You both have valid points, but i dont think FSODing is the answer. They dont care if they get FSOD'd, most of them are lvl 1. They will still be able to come back and FSOD and maybe we will anger them furthur. Misterbud to do the thing you hate to protect that which you love is a truly great thing, but to do what you hate with no chance of it helping to protect that which you love is truly going to annoy a lot of people (not just the FSODers). Smile
