hi, i play the xbox version, and i was wondering how much hacked difference between the versions, i heared somewhere that a guy on the gcn has his own server, is it really that hacked, we have hacked and duped items online, but thats as far as it is, theres no player killers or character killers like there was on the dreamcast, and theres also alot of ppl that dont like duping or hackers, which is good

Ive heard its much worse for hacks and stuff on the X-Box version. And theres quite a few on the GC version that cant stand hackers or dupers (like me )

To answer. First off, the GC version has been out for 3+ months more. This gives the GC version a 3 month head start in the hacking and duping area. The server that you are on about, can easily be changed from GC to Xbox. Especially since the Xbox is much like a PC. You can change settings and files comparatively easily.

The person that you are on about SAYS they have a server. As for anything, I won't believe it until I am playing on it. No screens, or hundreds of people saying they played on it. Until I play on it, I won't believe them.

Hacking is FAR more serious and widespread on the Xbox. They've done stuff on there that hasn't come over to GC yet to my knowledge. I would guess duping is more on the GC since MS introduced that patch to Xbox, but you can still probably get around it.

As for PKing, I've heard it isn't possible... full stop. But they will probably find a way

i think it could possibly be harder to have a hacked server on psox, what i understand about it is that u change the dial up site on the gc network screen, well thats not possible on a normal xbox as u automatically connect to xbox live servers then to psox, asoon as ur xbox is turned on, ur automatically on xbox live, but as for hacked xbox's, then u prob can choose which server u use, but for the hacked server, its prob the case of doing what u had to do to use the jap ver 2 pso on dc on a british dc (brings back memorys flash whiping the bios) lol. but anyway, i think its on the american gc, im not sure if u have region settings on the gc, but on xbox, we cant play americans on psox just europeans... soo unfair, but i suppose u have good and bad on each system, just hope it dont get as bad as the dc, coz that just made it impossible to play in the end

Dont know much on the subject of hacking, but yeh we have the regional settings on GC. That gives us the choice of playing on the US and JP servers aswell as EU servers

I think thats MS's decision not ST. ST would have liked for everyone to play probably. I guess they didn't want everyone insulting everyone else through voice chat. It's a bit more personal if your shouting it at someone I guess . Is it just PSO that is 'region locked', or do other games on Xbox have this seperation?

so far i think its just psox and whacked, but unreal championship, moto gp, castle wolfenstein, mechassault, ghost recon, i can play anyone in the world, but its still good, the only problem is that if u go online after 1am, theres hardly anyone on, coz there all in bed, so it gets lonely, lol

No Offence but most people are gullible to hink PSO on XBox would/could be enjoyable

GC might be worse in the hacks/dupes area, but it is better becasue you can play with UK and JP people like you guys
