We all know and love the great animated comedy show around - Family Guy - so you can begin to imagine whats next for the series, yup thats right, its a Family Guy Video Game!!!

Not only is the series back, but an official game is coming, too.

February 3, 2005 - Despite a production hiatus for the cult series Family Guy, the animated comedy thrives in DVD releases, licensed apparel, and now, an official videogame to be published under Take-Two Interactive's new 2K Games label.
The first Family Guy game, expected in 2006, is part of an agreement with Twentieth Century Fox granting Take-Two console, PC, and handheld video game rights to the franchise. The third-person action game will put players in the roles of Family Guy's main characters, including Stewie, Brian the Dog, and Peter himself.
"Take-Two has unparalleled experience in reaching what is the core Family Guy [demographic] and we are really excited to be collaborating with them on bringing the Griffins to the gaming community," said Peter Byrne of Fox Licensing and Merchandising.
"Family Guy" is set to re-launch as part of Fox's primetime line-up on May 1, along with creator Seth MacFarlane's new series, "American Dad."
For now, Take-Two is not unveiling targeted platforms or publisher details, but we'll be back with more on the Family Guy game as soon as new details emerge.
How great is a Family Guy game gonna be, aslong as they dont mess it up!

but i dont know about a video game...

Yup, an animated cartoon in a 3D video game, hasnt always been a success. Look at the Futurama video game *shudders*

OMG! The graphics were absolutely horrible, just dont even look into it lol
Gameplay and graphics were ok, i never actually played it myself, but those were the only good things about it. Didnt do Futurama any justice whatsoever!

The game is gonna suck. I have yet to play a spin-off that I really enjoyed or did anything different. I hope they invent a machine that absorbs this spin-off and recycles it as a new season.
Maybe the reason we miss Futurama and Family Guy is because they quit while they were ahead, and they haven't festered like the simpsons.
Anyway, if they make not a mediocre game, not a good game, but a GREAT game. wouldn't that rock though?
