I was playing multi player with a friend, it was a success. After that we saved, turned off the game, and I took out my memory card. And next day I come over when he tried to start his single player game it showed a warning sign "WARNING". It was continued saying something about transferred data, it said if we transfer our data (my memory card hosted last time, and his was a temporary file on my card) the character may not be fully restored. We say Yes, no other options, and he ends up losing every single weapon besides techs. Did this happen to anyone else? is there a better way to carry out this problem if we ever do multi again? we REALLY need proper help, so please tell us the exact problems. We were thinking that because his is PSO is used it may have some defection problem but...

you didn't copy the transfered data back to his memory card after you finished the game. after the games saves there is a "Quit Game" option at the bottom of the list. after you finish playing multiplayer with transfered data you have to choose that option.
when you started up the one player game the next day, you did something about "Cancel Transfer Status". that will delete all of the items in that file to prevent duping. the items are still on your memory card in the temp file you left there. start a multiplayer game with your card as the host and you will see that your friend's file is still on you card. this file has the items in it. to get the items back to your friend:
1) put your mem card in slot a, his in slot b
2) you select the copy of his file that is already there
3) he transfers he data to your card in one of the other 2 transfer slots and uses that
4) your characters will be copies of the same person
5) you will have all the items in the copy you're using, drop them to your friend
6) after all items have been given to your friend save + quit
7) go to "Quit Game" option (not "Change Characters" or "Change Settings")
8) transfer the copy of the chacter you friend used back to his card
9) don't transfer the copy you used
10) start another multiplayer game and this time choose the temp copy that is on your card and say to "Delete" (not "Return to Slot B" or "Play with This")
11) agree to deleting it
your friend will now have his character and all his items back. what you did was make a temp copy of a character. from now on just go to "Quit Game" when you finish
