Just noticed something when logging on today on PSO....
When I went to join my usual lobbies, I noticed two extra lobbies at the top of the screen, mysteriously named;
Xbox:/
Xbox:/
Garnet:
Alexandrite:
Jasper:
(Those are EU ships btw....)
So, is this a sign of the servers merging between US and EU soon? This might be old news, but I just noticed it.
Please enlighten me.... Thanks.

No idea sorry - Could be tho. There have also been some rumors that they will be removing the monthly fee soon.

Do you mean Xbox servers are merging with Gamecube or that Eu xbox servers are merging with Eu gamecube servers, or that xbox eu is merging with xbox us?
Sorry I'm just confused on how you worded it a bit.

Well postings on the xbox forums are stating they are will be grouping all the PSOX servers.

if they merge xbox with gamecube it would be great my friend would finally get online for it.

I don't think that it would even be possable to group the PSOX, and the GCN servers.

They grouped the Ep 1 and 2 and 3 didn't they?

i dont think they could merge xbox and gcn, aren't the xbox server owned my mircosoft(xbox live) and not sega(sonic team)?

No, it all starts off from Xbox Live, but then it transfers over to the SEGA servers when you get into the Lobbies. All PSO Lobbies are hosted on SEGA servers, which is why theyre updated constantly, and easily.
I dunno about Sonic Team taking away the HL fee anytime soon, and i expect merging the Xbox servers and Gamecube servers are pretty impossible because it may require altering disc data, i could be wrong though. If they were merging any Xbox lobbies together, itd most likely be into International ground. Theyd most likely merge EU, US and JP servers together. They could just be taking them all down and leaving 2 lobbies up, reducing them like they slowly did with the SEGA Dreamcast lobbies.

Soz, gues I did not make it clear enough...
I play on the EU Xbox.... So basically I want to know if the Xbox servers are merging, ie. Japan, EU and US can all play together.
Those XBox ships that appeared, have now gone... So I dont know if ST were just testing out for the merger, or whether it was just something else...
Can anyone give a link to the xbox forum where they are stating the merger will occur? If so... when will it happen?
