I was looking in the list of items in the word select chat and saw chocolate. I've only just started V.hard and can't go online, so iv'e got no idea how to get it or what it does. Same for christmas present?

Xmas present is like Jack o' Lantern and Easter Egg. They are all from an event rappy. Candy, chocolate, (I think Bouquet too) are extra items. You could have earnt candy during the White Day event and exchanged it in the TTF quest. Actually bouquet is the item you get for giving candy to the FOmarl in the quest.

But what do they do? And can i get any of them offline?

They don't do much. They are prestige items really. Getting candy involved working together as a couple. Getting the bouquet involved you keeping the candy for over 5 months and STILL keeping contact with the person you played the quest with. You can only get the bouquet by playing the quest with the person you got candy with.
