I corrupted... again...

My memory card really is 3vi1. It did of course choose to corrupt at the moment I had all the parts for a Virus armour: Lafuteria. Almost all my good characters(exept N@no, which was on another memory card) and almost all their weapons(exept those I duped as backups. Yes, I duped. Kill me) fell into oblivion and darkness, even though I tried all known methods to save them. I lost a red scorpio, red saber, parasite wear:vajulla, luminous field, 16 photon drops, demolition comet(NOOOOOOOOOO!), charge vulcans and charge arms(both with 40%hit), a ton of grinders, all my mag cells, my chuchu(Aww, poor fella... he was soooo cute), asuka, some other good mags, angry fist with 25%hit, a blue barrier(I think. MABYE I transferred that to N@no) and three chain sawds(I may have still have forgotten some of my good stuff. shame on me). To not mention my characters, Eirik on level 125, Andreas on 103, Jill on 46 and Pethra on 30. I really hate this program glitch that makes this game prone to corrupt memory cards. HATE it. *sob*

sorry to hear that mang! i havent played online since dreamcast....but i feel your pain...i lost quite a few chars playing dc. wish you luck if your going to continue to play.

I'm still playing. N@no survived, after all. I'm trianing Jill like hell for getting her up to ultimate. Pethra will be revived, but not now. But still, this really sucks. 3vi1, as I said.

put each character on a seperate memory card this time, so nothing this bad will happen again. i've only corrupted once and the only good things i lost were like 20 mags that had 25/24/25/25 stats all ready to be turned into special mags.... i had only about 60 hours of play on it though. meh, i have 10x that now. it corrupted because i used a Nyko memory card....

Heh, putting one on each card is only sensible if you have (a) very few characters, or (b) a lot of cards. I have 8 on 2 cards... and in the image on my sig, one frame shows the contents of one of my cards, so if I were ever to get corrupted, I'd lose one of those sets... :ermm:

And I'll believe the "3rd party memory cards cause corruption" theory when I see it. I can't remember what brand I have, but my second and third cards are 3rd party, and they've never had a problem yet, even before PSO. Now 3rd party CONTROLLERS, on the other hand, are the devil...

Here is the best advice. Get a first party memory card, anyone have Animal Crossing. They come with a 59 memory card. Just delete the animal crossing memory and use that. They are ultra rare in stores, you can easily find the 251 cards in stores. They are small (like DS games) and are usually grey and costs 15+ dollars.

3rd party cards are very risky for PSO, corruptions out of nowhere occur with them, even offline.

Yes, it was a third party memory card. And I've got a original 59 block card. They're not as hard to get as you say, A.S. Actually, they're really easy to get here.

The reason I used a unorigial card is that it is the only of my three(3rd party) memory cards that actually was usable. I got the original a short time ago, and used that for backups and my force, N@no. Now, Jill is also transferred to that card to ensure her survival. Pethra, on the other hand, will stay on the old just to make sure I won't fall and lose it all(In the end is t3h ownage :3). Tactics! Wee!

It's impossible. Only way to do it is to transfer them in a multiplayer-game, but that will make you unable to use them in other modes than multiplayer. Copying is blocked by Sega because they're afraid of people that will sell their characters for money. Shame on them. Copying data I can understand, but transferring... no. Sega are t3h 3vi1 too.
