People, post some storys here of when you've been coruppted, and what memory card it was on. Can 1st party cards coruppt for no reason, and in what ways can it coruppt..... I have a third party memory card and I hear it can corupt for no reason at all. So I got a first and I'm about to start a new file with my items but only a new char.. Is there anyway ti save my third party data on to a first? I've heard from many that it's impossible but if there are so much as any theroys out there, please post them here.

you need to have a usb memory card so you can transfer the files via your computer. i think that those are pretty expensive and you would have needed to start the files on one to transfer it. so sorry, but there's nothing you can do.
just give your new character all the items from your ones on the 3rd party card and you'll get back to where you were soon enough (unless you have characters like Kefka).
3rd party cards will corrupt for no reason except they hate you for being too cheap to buy a 1st party one. the 1st party cards won't corrupt unless something actually happens (you pull it out during a save, get FSOD'd in a save, ect.)

Really? Thanks! And the whole make a new char. and trade item to it, I did that before reading this. (Whoa, I had A LOT of items!) And the last, non-() reamark was just an inform, not nasty in anyway. So anyway, thanks for the help and people, keep posting corupption stories.

My two corruptions were simply caused by the power/game being turned off during the Save Process on PSO Ep. I-II as well as III. Whatever party that is, I don't know - don't really care. I lost a lot of hours of time put into those various characters. Technically, I only lost 2. One was a level 82 if memory serves (I've past that now by about 25 levels or so), and on PSO III I was like CLv 15 or something.

are there 2nd party memory cards? i was just thinking, if Nintendo is 1st and non-Nintendo is 3rd, what's left to be 2nd party?

My memory cards were 1st party memory cards. For something as important as saving memory, you need to buy quality brand-name accessories for doing so - Nintendo memory cards.

My only near-corruption happened on my first party card, for no reason... I was saving and it suddenly said something to the effect of "can't save, everything will now be deleted, click OK plzkthx." Instead of hitting the only option, I just turned the cube off and everything was fine. I lost a Cure/Confuse that day though that I'd just picked up from a Nar Lily... my only one... :ermm:
Then there was that time that the cube froze right in the middle of the credits after beating Ultimate Falz for the first time, but I blame that one on the cube. Didn't lose anything but a bunch of exp that time...
I've had my two third-party memory cards for at least two years now... they've saved data on the better part of 20 different games, and I've not had a bit of trouble with either of them. So as I've said, I'll believe this "3rd party suxx0rz" rumor when I see it.

and when you see it happend, you will be so mad that you lost half your characters and that you knew using that kind of memory card causes it.

If it ever happened, I wouldn't attribute it to that... I've had those memory cards so long they may as well choke any day now (especially since my stupid brother leaves them lying around the dusty basement). But if I were to lose any of my characters on those cards, it would be the last four, not the first four.

Eh, yesterday, I got a new memory card cause I had a 3erd so now I have a first, any I was 74+ hours into the game and now I'm starting over. Not too bad. I still have all my items including my delsaber's buster. Today, I just started and beat De-Ro-Lia in one try on level 8. And the mines boss on one try on level 12. Now I'm almost ruins 3 and a level 16. Cool, eh? And the dragon, forget it!!! I beat him at like, level 3 in one try!
