Chapter 5: Creature Of The Dark

They walked on slowly. The corridors and rooms were becoming more and more cluttered and bloodied. Nothing lived down there, save DarkMagician and his party. As they walked, DarkMagician heard a click. "LOOK OUT!" He screamed, as a great boulder charged towards them. The door locked behind them also. "No! We're trapped!!!" Mirinee screamed, pounding the door. "Power Claw!!!" Kashima yelled, as DarkMagician shouted, "Shifta!" Kashima's claw turned into a glowing golden colour. "HAIIYAA!" He shouted, as he punched the boulder as hard as he could. It exploded into fragments, as the door unlocked itself again. "Urf.. are you two okay?" Kashima asked, out of breath. DarkMagician and Mirinee looked at each other, looked at Kashima, and nodded. "Okay, then...let's go!"

As they walked on, they could sense some malign power. Even more wicked than the one Dark Falz gave off usually. "DarkMagician...Just how strong IS RobDeLaMorte?" Mirinee asked, trying to break the silence. "I hope it does not come to that. If he is against us, we must flee!" DarkMagician said quietly. Kashima joined in, "Why?" DarkMagician shook his head, "Well, he's... He cannot be killed! He is undead." Kashima and Mirinee stopped. "Also, he is possibly the most physically powerful hunter that walked this planet. You saw those bodies back behind us. I only hope he has not become crazed..." "Oh I see... BACK THERE WAS NOT THE ACTIONS OF A CRAZED MAN!?" Kashima yelled sarcastically, as they approached the teleport to where Dark Falz resided. "He will be in here...Prepare yourselves!" DarkMagician commanded. They entered...

He was there. He sat on the altar, looking at the monolith. He called back without looking, "Hmph! More pathetic humans for me to kill..." DarkMagician walked up slowly behind him. "...RobDeLaMorte? It's me." He turned. He had changed much in the last few months. He looked both more powerful, and hateful. "DarkMagician! What do you want!" "We-we are going to escape the planet, myself, Kashima and Mirinee. Would you like to escape with us?" RobDeLaMorte frowned, "No. I finally found a reason to live. I am a battler, and since merging with Dark Falz, like Grave did long ago, I have grown stronger, and tire of your affairs." Mirinee leapt up, "Please! We will need your help!" "No!" Kashima frowned, walked up to RobDeLaMorte and hissed menacingly, "You WILL help us RobDeLaMorte!" RobDeLaMorte glared at him, "And why should I? Dare you threaten me?" "Maybe I do..." DarkMagician suddenly shoved them apart, "STOP THIS! I WILL SEE NO MORE KILLING! RobDeLaMorte, if you come with us, you will be able to fight far more opponents, than if you waited here." RobDeLaMorte thought for a minute. ".....On one condition." "Name it!" "After I have...escorted you safely to wherever, you tell me where the Battle Royal is being held." "Deal." RobDeLaMorte leapt up, and drew his sword, Chi Gochisoo. "Then what do we wait for? Let's go!" He strode up to the monolith. "rrrRRRKAELLLOMIRNEVVEEESAA!!" A portal opened to the outside world. They walked through...

Chapter 6: Return To The Battle

They stepped out again, in a burst of bright light in the middle of the Battle Royal. "NO!" DarkMagician screamed, as he realised where they were. All of the hunters stopped fighting, as they were all temporarily blinded by the flash. RobDeLaMorte cursed, "Damn! DarkMagician, quickly! Absorb my magic powers, and teleport out of here!" "But won't you be..!" "JUST DO IT! I only require my strength anyway!" DarkMagician held his hand up to RobDeLaMorte's forehead, and drained the magic out of him. "Thank you...RobDeLaMorte. Die a hero's death!" DarkMagician shouted, as they teleported safely away. "Hah! It shall not be I, that dies today!" Some of the hunters got their vision back, and looked on in stunned silence, as they recognised RobDeLaMorte, The Undead One! He drew a deep breath, "COME ON YOU PATHETIC HUMAN WORMS! FIGHT ME IF YOU DARE! HHAHAHAHAH!!!" he screamed, as he dashed into the middle of them, hacking and hewing limbs and blood everywhere...

DarkMagician, Mirinee and Kashima re-appeared on a nearby hill, to the south. They looked back, and Kashima whistled, "You know DarkMagician... I'm glad you stopped us fighting...look at him!" RobDeLaMorte was easily visible, as he stood on a mound of bodies swinging his sword in all directions, soaked in blood that was not his, and many hunters, though insane, were steering clear of his wrath. "I wonder how many he will defeat before he falls...?" Mirinee said to herself. DarkMagician and Kashima stared at her. "Uh? What? What's the matter!?" DarkMagician and Kashima both rolled their eyes, "Nothing Mirinee... Come, let's hurry onward!" Kashima commanded, as they walked further south.

As the party walked on, they became increasingly aware that the land itself was overly too quiet. Eventually, even the sounds of RobDeLaMorte's last stand faded from their ears. They currently walked down a field, seemingly untouched by anyone. "This is unusual... There are no people...no bodies here..." Kashima noted. "What a lovely field this is... Perhaps we can take a rest here..." DarkMagician suggested. "Good idea! My feet hurt!" Mirinee seconded. As Mirinee walked further into the field, ahead of DarkMagician and Kashima, it hit DarkMagician. A terrible feeling in his gut, as though impending doom beckoned. "MIRINEE WAIT!" He screamed dashing towards her. He knocked her over, as a shot rang out...

Chapter 7: Field Of The Damned

DarkMagician and Mirinee lay there, hidden amongst the field's plants. "Guess that makes us even now...Mirinee...Were you hit?" DarkMagician asked. "No... But look at your shoulder..." She replied. It had been shot out. It dawned on DarkMagician that his arm was useless, as Kashima dashed over to them. "A sniper! How did you know?" He hissed. DarkMagician shook his head. Kashima sighed, popped his head up, and pulled out a pair of binoculars. "Hmm...!!! Oh great!" He said quietly, hurling his binoculars away in disgust. "Who...is...it?" DarkMagician asked slowly. "The best sniper in the whole ship.....Ria....." Kashima replied darkly. "She got the drop on us, we may as well kill ourselves now! I heard stories how accurate she is. She is the only one to outshoot Elenor, and she is a human too!" Suddenly, a powerful woman's voice rang out. "You three! Come out of hiding now, and MAYBE I'll let you live!" DarkMagician called out in pain, "Ria! Why do you seek to kill us all? You...you do not sound crazed." Ria took a shot in their direction. "I am not, 'crazed' like the rest of them. But I have been offered a reward for your assassination! I know that Mirinee and Kashima travel with you also. If you surrender DarkMagician, I will let you go." DarkMagician got angry, "Again, and again! WHY AM I ALWAYS BEING HUNTED!?! Who ordered it!?" Ria fired a shot, closer this time. "Why should I tell you? It wi--" "It will make no difference, blah-blah-blah. Heard it all before Ria. Just tell me." *BLAM* One flew past DarkMagician's head. "Decs." Ria said, walking up to them. She was a tall woman, with dark hair and a large rifle. She had them cold. "Say goodbye to your 'friends' DarkMagician!" She raised her gun to his head. DarkMagician thought quickly, "I hope it still works...it's been so long.." DarkMagician grabbed Kashima and Mirinee's hands. "TIME STOP!!!"

Time had been frozen, for all bar those three. Kashima and Mirinee stayed silent, stunned. "Whew, I remembered... Listen, there is not much time left. I cannot go with you, as Ria will easily get us, and I will avoid more killing as much as possible!" He created a telepipe. "You two! Hayaku! Into this pipe! I cannot follow, as I am too weakened, my magic is running out. Perhaps we shall meet again in the next life. GO! NOW!" Kashima ran up to the telepipe, "Thank you for your sacrifice DarkMagician... I will not forget this. Next time." He leapt in. "Mirinee, HURRY! I...cannot stop time AND keep this open much longer!" Mirinee looked at him. The anger gone. Pity in her eyes instead. "Why?" She asked. "Why must this happen?" DarkMagician looked down, "Look, I will not see you two hurt or killed! If you hurry, you may yet make it! Take this crystal. Show it to V at Gal De Val, and he will help you." She ran up to the pipe, still uncertain. "It will be fine... Leave, I will not allow my friends to suffer also!" She nodded, and stepped in, as time resumed...

Ria opened her mouth. "You little--! They ESCAPED!?" DarkMagician took advantage of her lapse of concentration, and launched himself at her, knocking the rifle away. She smacked him in the face with her fist. "Idiot! You'll pay for that! I shall kill you slowly!" DarkMagician got up again. "MEGID!" He shouted, as he aimed at her. It hit her dead on. Nothing happened. DarkMagician paused unsure, "No effect!?! HOW!?!" Ria laughed, "Did you not think I was expecting that? I came prepared with magic resistant gear! Face it! You're dead!" DarkMagician cursed, as they circled one another...

Chapter 8: Timely Appearence

Mirinee and Kashima reappeared on the hill back near to where the Battle Royal once was. Nothing remained there now, save bodies and blood. Nothing moved. "No! He sent us backwards!" Kashima moaned. "Oh shut up! He saved us! With his own life!" Mirinee yelled back. Just then, a sole figure caught their attention. A warrior, head and sword held high in victory. Drenched in blood from head to toe. "It...can't be...!" "HE....He...He..." RobDeLaMorte started to laugh. "Those stupid humans! They never learn! Hmm...where is DarkMagician?" Kashima and Mirinee huriedly told their story, as the three sprinted off to the field...

Ria had the upper hand. DarkMagician, though not frail, had only one arm in use. Plus, Ria was not happy with him for not only helping his friends escape, and knocking away her gun, but he had just drawn blood from her mouth. Currently, she was stamping on him, as he lay on the ground, trying to defend himself. He eventually lay still. Ria, apprehensively, bent down to look. He was out cold. "Hah! You put up a fight, DarkMagician. But you cannot defeat ME! Hah-hah-hah-hah-hahhh!!!" She reached into her suit, and produced a hidden handgun from her bra. "Now I say, GOODBYE!!!" She held it to his head, waking him up with the cold steel. He murmured to her. "Ria...Ria...listen...to me..." She bent down closer, holding his arm down. "What? Delaying the inevitable?" He grinned, "No...look...behind...you....." He fell unconsious, as Ria became aware of a shadow behind her. "RobDeLaMorte!" She screamed alarmed. RobDeLaMorte made a mocking bow, as Ria opened fire on him. Every bullet hit him, square in the chest. He stood there, an expression of mild amusement on his face, and spat the six bullets out of his mouth. "Tasty." He growled, grabbing her by the throat with alarming speed. Kashima and Mirinee ran over to DarkMagician. "...He is still alive. We just made it!" Kashima announced. Mirinee pulled out some water, and poured it over DarkMagician, rousing him. "Fbfrrlbffbff! Quit it!!!" He yelled, as he saw Ria about to have her neck broken. "NO! WAIT! DO NOT KILL HER!" RobDelaMorte loosened his grip, grudgeingly. Ria stood there confused, "Why not? I would have killed you!" DarkMagician sighed. "I don't care. I am tired of death. Also, I need you to tell me how to get to Decs. He must pay for this." Ria went silent. "Tell us Ria!" She stayed silent. Mirinee went up to her, and slapped her hard. "You little--!" Ria screamed, as she struggled enraged to escape RobDeLaMorte's grip. "DarkMagician...stop Mirinee from doing that again...she nearly got free!" RobDeLaMorte exclaimed. DarkMagician walked up to them both, and motioned for RobDeLaMorte to release her. "Look...Ria, please tell us. We have won, and I seek no more killing. I just want answers..." Ria stood there, unsure what to do for a minute. Eventually, she spoke. "...Take the hidden teleport in THAT TREE over there, on that hill..." She said quietly, defeated. "Thank you. What will you do now?" DarkMagician asked, as RobDeLaMorte wandered off, bored, searching for more battle. "I don't know..." DarkMagician looked over to the other two. "Shall we...?" He asked. Kashima shrugged, not really caring. Mirinee objected, "What if she tries to kill you again!?" DarkMagician frowned. "Well then, you will both have to tell her off then. Come, let's go!" They ran up the hill, and entered the teleport...

Chapter 9: The True Enemy

The four re-appeared in one of the bubbles on the top of Pioneer 2. Directly in front of them was an electronic door. "Ria?" Kashima asked. She walked up to it, held a button down, and spoke. "Decs...Decs! I have completed my mission! May I come in?" The door buzzed, and opened to reveal...

Decs! The one who had ordered DarkMagician's assassination. He stood before them, a look of mock surprise on his face. "Oh NOOOO! They overpowered you, and forced you to bring them to me! Oh whatever shall I do???" The four stood there, stunned. "Oh, I know...THIS!!!" Decs held his hands out, and fired a beam of darkness at them all. DarkMagician teleported out of the way, and Ria was unaffected by it. Kashima and Mirinee fell, seemingly dead. "NO! KASHIMA! MIRINEE!" DarkMagician screamed. Decs laughed, "Hahahahahahah! Do not worry DarkMagicician! They are not dead...not yet anyway. I merely brought them on the Verge of death. This ring..." He held it up, it was a sapphire in an emerald. "Can reverse that spell of mine...nothing else can!" Ria drew her gun. "How DARE you attack me too Decs!" Decs merely grunted, "Huh. You were expendable. I have been trying to kill YOU for so many years!" He said cruelly, glaring at DarkMagician. Suddenly, it hit DarkMagician. "You...I know you...I sensed your darkness when I fought Rannu, and The Sages, as well as Ryu, the Dragon Prince! What ARE you!?" Decs lost his smile. "What am I? I am YOUR DARK SIDE INCARNATE! DARK FORCE!" DarkMagician took a step back. "Wondered why recently you have been happier? We were split up one day. The day Albert died a second time, I started to fade away. By the time you met Sakura, I had been removed almost entirely from you." Ria decided to take action at this point. She leapt forward, stole the ring, revived Kashima and Mirinee and shoved them into a telepipe. "Good...let them go...this is between you and me, Decs!" DarkMagician said menacingly. "Yes. All those times before, when you were attacked, I organised them ALL!" "But why go to so much trouble?" DarkMagician asked confused. "If you die, I will get your powers. With both of our powers, I would rule the galaxy!" DarkMagician frowned, "Idiot! YOU are the reason for my tragic life?! I SHALL DESTROY YOU!" Decs started to laugh. "If you kill me, the darkness will consume YOU. the good half. YOU-CANNOT-WIN!"

Meanwhile, Ria, Mirinee and Kashima re-appeared back down on a beach. "GAL DE VAL! WE MADE IT!" Kashima shouted thankfully. Ria nodded, and Mirinee stayed silent. As they started to walk around a little, Kashima fell over something jutting out of the sand. "What the?! Ooof!" Mirinee walked over. "...It's metal..." She said cooly. Suddenly, a voice started speaking from underneath the sand. "Who is there!? DarkMagician?" Kashima realised, and started to dig. Ria walked back over, "This is no time to be making sandcastles." Mirinee turned around angrily. "Leave it." Kashima called behind him, as a robot was dug out. "Yes! I'm rescued! Woohoo!" It said, as it got up. Mirinee pulled out the crystal. ".....Follow me then....." It said slowly, as it recognised the situation. They walked over to a solid wall. V looked around. "All clear!" He said, as he walked THROUGH the wall. "Wow!" Mirinee blurted, as they walked through. V made conversation, "Legend has it DarkMagician stumbled upon this, after a failed attempt at a speed boosting spell. Went right through the wall!" Ria raised an eyebrow. V stepped on a hidden switch. A platform raised up from out of the sand. On the platform was a large black and purple ship, shaped like a Marica Mag. "Ladies and gentlemen...I give you... The DarkNova!" "Not bad..." A voice called out. They all turned. "DAMMIT ROBDELAMORTE! YOU HAVE GOT TO STOP DOING THAT!" V screamed at him.

DarkMagician sighed, a tear rolling down his cheek. There was only one way this could end, and he knew it. "I see we must both die... Well, if I die now, forever, I AM GOING TO SURE AS HELL PUT UP A GOOD SHOW!!!" He yelled, glowing. "What are you doing? It is a waste of time..." Decs replied slowly. DarkMagician carried on, charging up as much energy as he possibly could. More than he had ever held before. This was it. The final magic spell. DarkMegido! DarkMagician released an immeasurable amount of magic, pouring all of his life-force into this final act, multiplying the power tenfold. The entire ship exploded, in a Supernova of Pure Darkness. Everything was destroyed, Pioneer 2, Ragol itself, even Algol was affected by it. Only one thing remained, just near the edge of the galaxy...A purple and black ship...

Mirinee, RobDeLaMorte, Ria, V and Kashima had watched the entire thing. "My...god...." V stuttered. "It's over..." Kashima said quietly. Mirinee started to cry, "Everyone...everything is dead! Only WE are left!" Ria was completely stunned. RobDeLaMorte whistled, "He really WAS the most powerful of us all! Even more so than Dark Falz itself!" "What now?" V asked. "Let's recover his body. He would want a proper burial..." RobDeLaMorte replied. "Will there be ANYTHING LEFT?!" Ria finally spoke. Suddenly, the crystal that Mirinee still held began to glow. A hologram was projected onto the wall. "What the!?" RobDeLaMorte blurted. "These...these are co-ordinates..." V began. Kashima frowned. "Do you think...he planned...this?" "Perhaps..." V replied, "It seems the sort of thing he would do. Anyway, let's get his body back..."

Epilogue: RobDeLaMorte's Final Epitaph For DarkMagician

They flew back, and found DarkMagician's body drifting through space. Completely untouched. Completely in place. They brought him aboard, and said their final farewell. All that remained, was his story to tell. And so, friend mortal, remember his life. His friends, his enemies, and his lost wife. Thus we draw now, to the final page. Of the chronicles of, the Ultimate Mage.....

That is it. DarkMagician is finally dead. Will Mirinee, V, Ria, RobDeLaMorte and Kashima find a new home? Are those coordinates really going to save them? Is Decs going to kill me for putting him in as the bad guy?

You shall have to decide for yourselves. Either that, or BEG someone to write a new series. I am done.

Still...perhaps another time I may...

Anyway, I hoped you all enjoyed it!
