What Does CAST Stand For?

Maybe I'm searching in the wrong places, but I'm pretty sure CAST is an anacronym, i.e. the letters stand for something? I've been looking on PSU related sites everywhere for the answer.

Best offer so far is from Google who say "Co-operative Agent for Specific Tasks" but they don't say whether or not this is CAST in relation to PSU or CAST in relation to the motor industry, military, supply teaching and so on.

It's bugging me so much that I'm now openly admitting my newbiness and asking:

In PSU does CAST really stand for anything?
If it does, what is the PSU definition?

I figured they were called CASTs because of the fact they're artifically created in the image of Humans, and like, y'know. You can use a 'cast' of something to make a replica of it. That was my reasoning of it.

I don't think it stands for anything in particular, much like SEED, and GUARDIANS. And RELIC. (my apologies if they do stand for anything, I've not really gotten into story mode.)

I thought of cast as more of a place in the social ladder they were built to serve humans now they are equal :S

I always just thought it was a shameless refrence to the system that PSO first started on...DreamCAST. Unless of course there were Casts in PS1-4...I dun remember, lol

I'm pretty sure Wren and Demi are directly referred to as CASTs, but I can't remember. =/

i think its just phantasy stars fancy word for robots.
in pso the robot classes ended with CAST.

RAcast- Ranger Robot

Now that you mention it, It would be part of the history of Phantasy Star Online or Universe, I think the creators would know...

I'd also guess that it doesn't stand for anything, but if it did they'd totally be Conga Animal Silly Things. Totally.
