I have a lev 100 Armour PM with lev 19 exp. I badly need some decent armour n weps, so thought lets give making some a go. I found a cresline board and have all the mats, but it says only a 56% chance of making it. She already failed with a brandline, which dropped from 56% to 28% once I said OK make it. No point wasting stuff I could sell and put towards stuff if she aint up to the job.
Anybody got a clue as to where I'm going wrong??

It's quite simple really... it sounds like you're inserting cheap parts into the "???" slots. The cheaper the parts you use, the lower the chance of success, the higher the parts, the greater the chance. A lot of items won't even come out properly even if they are successful if you put in materials that are too low-grade. For example... when trying to make a "Granarod"... if you use anything other than Kerseline in the ??? slot then it simply will never come out as a Granarod... instead you'll receive a Slyrod or cheaper weapon.
The easiest thing to do is use materials that are equal in the number of stars to what you're trying to make. If a Brandline were say... a 5 star armor, make sure any materials you're inserting into ??? slots are at least 5 stars.
Hope that helps.

Well I'm trying to make a cresline armour which is 5* both nanocarbon and marseline are 5* already, so that only leaves the X Factor, which is some form of photon. I only appear to have 1 2 or 3* photons and have never come across any higher. Have I just not found them yet, or is 3* the highest.
My PM is level 100 pure armour and trained to lev 20 so far. Am I right though that by training more it helps and also i should synth anything and everything to boost her ability
I haven't bother using synth for mates, basic weps etc as I don't really need them, but if it's gonna help, I'll just sell the lot and make a bit of cash.
I'm getting there slowly, now with 100000 sat in the bank, I just don't want to waste it buying something that is gonna be useless in a couple of levels.
Is there a guide book for PSU or is this site my best resource for info.

Im- or El- Photons in Armor or Weapons will avail you naught, reducing the synth success rate.
Baruk: Lvl 85 Male Human Fighgunner 15.
Amielle: Lvl 24 Female Newman Protranser 4.
Newest Synth: Sweet Deathic! ... 14% Light.
A keyboard is now mine. Fear my fast-typing skills. I play the PS2 version of PSU.

That is true as well. Im-Photons and El-Photons should only be used for items that specifically ask for them. Such as Granarods.

Im-Photons are for guns, El- for sticks.

I've just found out about the Im and El photons on another site, and it says the same. Im - Photons are for Ranger Weapons and El - Photons are for Force Weapons and Basic Photons are for Hunter Weapons.
Here's the bit I missed and it makes sense now.
My PM may have been raised using CAST parts to make her stat 100 on armour, HOWEVER if you check the second screen where her skill level increases, it stats Combat Style - Calculating and SYN TREND - Firearms. The combat style changes as her stats go up but the Syn Trend is the same.
I take it there isn't actually a PM the specialises in Armour.

The best way to increase your PM's success rate in armor is to simply keep making more. The more you make the better your success rate, even at level 100. Doesn't have to be high level armor, make cheap ones and that will help.
Level 100 already?? That's quite an accomplishment at level 19! I was going to say to feed the cheap armor to your PM, but guess you'll have to sell it.
