PSO Sounds! Very important

Hi guys. I dont know if this is the right forum but ... I think it fits best. As you already read in the titel I need Phantasy Star Online sounds. Ive googled for them quite a long time now(and I will continue doing that) but I can't find any PSO soundseffects. The most important sounds would be the one of the monkey (Hildebear) and the sound that you hear when something "beams" - for example when you go from town to the battlefield and you character appears - I hope you know what I mean. Im thankful for every information.

Well, you might want to know why the hell I need such stuff.Hm... to keep it short, I havent been able to go online for quite a long time. Well now I can and I got to know some days ago that all PSO servers were shut down forever. I want to pay my tribut to PSO now by making a flash movie that consists of some of my dearest memories and experiences I made in this wonderful world of phantasy star online. That shall be my way saying thanks for the great time I had playing it and also be something that might bring back and conserve other peopels memories. So it can go on living in our hearts.


PS. I know about the privat servers but it's just not the same. It never will be again.

hmm, i have some sounds (check the image) sounds folder

i also have been searching for them and nothing has come across, i still have the pso bb pac files with the sounds, no luck finding the right program.

tried ver.2 dreamcast files, can't find them (the sounds)

if you find them warn me
another way to obtain the sounds is to record them in a quiet place (turning music off)

use VLC player with the .pac file in bb. everything works fine apart from one, but i forgot what one that is

Does that mean you could give me some sounds ? Im glad about everything I can lay my fingers on! The saber sound would be cool as well.

I've got some sounds like weapon and symbol chat stuff from a PSO soundtrack I have on a CD. I could probably send you some or all of those.

@dark, i will zip them all for you, after that i will try the other sounds that seem to be open with the VLC player (thanks dnd)

what you could also do is this
1)hook up a DVD recorder
2)turn off music
3)record the sound effects
4)put DVD onto computer in an editing software
5)seperate the sound from the image
6)cut out segments from the sound timeline and save as a name, ex: handgun reg shot 000

That would be fantastic. I'd be very greatful if you would upload them somewhere or just send me the stuff at [email protected] or [email protected] . But I don't know how big the files you send with an email are allowed to be.

@Bmil: Yeah, that would be possible. The problem is I don't have a DVD recorder. And it would be that much work - I couldnt possibly expect someone to do that for me. But thanks anyway.

you can use fraps to record, then use movie maker to separate movie from sound

now i am uploading a file with 6 mg, (a bit less) because some sounds are avaiable at the download section of this site, but they are imcomplete as they miss the new saber or dagger sound
i will upload then send the link to admin also, he will update the file, at anytime if someone has new sound of pso, inform me or the admin so we can put a big file for download in the files section
