Anyone use Steam frequently?

The orange box is now available to pre-order, and what a collection it is. What's more, if you pre-order, you can play Team Fortress 2, an excellent multiplayer game.

Then there's the new community stuff. A nice feature, seems pretty Xbox live based.

Let me know if you guys want a Ragol/PSU group!

steam i can get it, but i must have a reason to do it, i know steam but i usually use non steam based games to play
for 2 ppl to play together simply use hamachi program, it connects 2 or more computers and the connection is the same as a LAN
example: earth special forces, you need steam to play online, simply set hamachi and create a lan game, done (connection speed is different from a lan connection obviously)

Steam is a platform for downloading and playing a lot of pc games, mainly the Half Life series (as it is run by valve).

It's not essential for a lot of things, as Kireek says, but to play the newer games on big servers you do need it, but with friends lists and everything, it makes it really cool and convenient to join a friend in any game!

Team Fortress 2, the latest release, an excellent team-based shooter, also has great use of stats, and you can check out your friend's too!

not really, i'm not in the competitions or servers, but since my friends also have it, we send the ip, connect and play......
