Rank your top 5 favourite anime characters.

I came up with a good idea to ask out everyone, why not opening a top 5 most favourite anime characters you saw.

Like

Name - Character role (If Main character, Hero, Primary character, Secondary support, Rival, Main Villain, Secondary villain, non-important character, I'll try to correct you if I got enough knowledge and you write wrongly)
- Name of anime

then after the 5 are named mark in points what these 5 got in common, just first think the characters, then the points, there is no need to have those, but it would be cool. And please dont add stuff like they are awesome cuz THAT IS OBVIOUS.

I'll give you my rating as an example:

1. Kamina - Primary character - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
2. Spike Spiegel - Main character - Cowboy Bebop.
3. Archer - Anti-hero character - Fate / Stay Night.
4. L - Rival character - Death Note.
5. Maes Hugges - Secondary support character - Full Metal Alchemyst/Hagaren.

- All males (Such fangirl I am :p).
- Their allignment is GOOD (No evil characters).
- They all die in certain parts of the series (Sad but true).

1. Eriya and Naria - Secondary Villians - Escaflowne (they're twins so they can counts as one )
2. L - Rival Character - death note
3. Kon - Support character - Bleach
4. No Face - Support character - spirited away
5. Howl - Main character - Howl's moving castle

-they all behave in far out, unusual ways.
- they are all good characters, with the exception of Naria & eriya, though they aren't technically evil, for those who have seen escaflowne.
- besides L, they all have an animalistic/ghostly look/side to them.

Naruto- main character in Naruto
Zoro- sort of a main character. first mate in "one piece"
Roshi and jaraiya(something like that more commonly known as "pervy sage") teachers. two different people but they're pretty much the same
Neji- not really a villain but not exactly on Naruto's side. he puts too much stock in fate
Gaara- depending on what time period either a badguy from the sand village or kazekage also in Naruto

not really much in common. they're just my favorites

Aw, no thanks for the spoiler. >< But are you sure that's a reason for liking a character? Are you sure their deaths weren't incidental?

Okay, trying not to pick more than one from the same series:

Mwu La Flaga - pilot hero (Secondary support)- Gundam SEED
Fujiwara no Sai - Go player ghost and guardian (Primary character) - Hikaru No Go
L - detective like no other (Rival character)- Death Note
B.T. - manipulative "wavemaster" who keeps getting PK'd (Primary character)- .hack//SIGN

That's all, I think.

I don't know what they have in common. Um, they're all above 20 years of age? ... /random

Well not the same kind of deaths but they died murdered by other person. Well I don't like some facts of death being good, for example, I don't wanted Spike, Kamina or L die. In Fate Stay Night Archer was meant to die otherwise it would happen what happens ingame, and Hugges death was meant to cover the plot from the main character.
