Backing up your weaons

I was just wondering what everyone's view on backing up rares are to protect against FSOD and corruption.

Lets say you found a heaven's punisher with 90% hit would you back it up or not??

Would you still class this weapon as legit or dupped bearing in mind that the backup could be on a different card on a character called backup that you never plan to use.

Um... Well i dont play online so i dont need to worry about fsod, so i would say, for back up, if it is a legit, not duped, super good percentile weapon that is super rare, i would dupe it and only use that one. if it was like a yamato with good percents, i would not care.

if it's legit, really hard to get your hands on, and has awesome percents, think about it. I'm trying to stay legit.

i really find this an edgy subject, im legit, but would be devastated, probably to the point of giving up the game, if i lost all my items.

i've considered backing up, but would that make me unlegit? if i did backup, i'd declare it obviously.

im not sure what to do.

I guess it depends on what you do with the backups and the people you talk to. I personally don't see any problem if you back up your rares and keep them on a character that you don't use and only get them out if you lose said item.

But yeah this is a grey area and I thought it would make an interesting discussion which is what this forum should be about

of course the items would be entirely separate from the originals.

so far ive only lost one decent rare from fsod, that was my fave weapon too, they were the twin psychoguns.

before, i got them by trading for them. this time, i managed to find them with my greenill char.

im strongly considering it, because if the game was faultless, that sort of thing wouldnt happen. same as duping, e.t.c.

I'm against even backing up. I'm an extreme legit sort of view. Yes, it is Sega's fault for releasing the game with the FSOD problem, but it's something you have to put up with. Just because there are glitches and errors in the game, does not mean you should abuse them. Even backing up. FSOD is easily stopped by putting your most valuable items in the bank. Yes it is tempting to do, but just takes a little bit or restaint and respect for yourself not to do it.

No. Never. If I backed up, I am not legit because I have a backup/copy of everything. Even if I never used it, the temptation to use it still is.
