Does anyone know what turning on this option does? I can't find any mention of it in the (pitiful) Xbox PSO manual.
Thanks, and sorry if this has been covered already - I did a search for it on the forums, but no joy.

I don't have PSOX myself but it sounds as if it's probably something to do with the voice communicator/headset features when your in the ship lobby...

Excuse my ignorance, but what's UDP?
I did 300+ hours on DC PSO, but my memory fails me.
Thanks

UDP is an internet thing. The P stands for protocol. I think.. Nothing to worry about.

To quote from the DC PSO v2 manual (which is clear as always)
Quote:UDP SETTING
A high-level network setup to select the use of UDP. Note that the network setup is not necessary unless an announcement regarding UDP is made by your provider, for instance, when a connection to the network is not possible.

Yeah, if only the same could be said for the Xbox manual. Is the GC one any better?

From the GC instrution book
unless you are experiencing difficulties connecting to the network or your ISP has advised you not to accept UDP packets it is suggested that you DO NOT modify this setting
