Is it worth going online?

Just curious, is it worth buying the internet equipment for the game cube, a few months fee for PSO 1&2? I do not know if another PSO game is coming out IE: blue burst for the computer stateside (issue of wait for the pc one over using gamecube). The quests I can do online as opposed to offline, can that be kept on my memory card(Downloaded) to do offline? Or is it online only?

Just wanting to know a few things before I spend any dollars. As kefka pointed out to me the odds of finding the items I want offline are damn minamum. The online quests are very cool looking as well.

spend out the dosh, its worth it!
online is so kool compared to offline, you'll start to make good friendships whith ppl online and you'll probably have a main group of online friends

I have never doubted that much, since i have played EQ, the three blizzard online games, and more recently counterstrike source. Just trying to get the most information, and comparisons such as the lack of a head set for the gamecube *though its not hard to sit near a computer with a yahoo chat on with those ya play with*.

If ya have info on my other questions it would help. Thanks for the go ahead for buying it though.

I went to EB games in the mall close to where I live and they had the BBA (so I'm sure they'll have it at an EB near you),ethernet cable no problem go to a mom and pop computer store got mine for 12$, and you'll need to sign up for the HL online (of coures) . And the online component sends the game to a whole new level (especially if you played for a year and a half offlined like I did) you'll make good friends. The quests give SO much more meseta and exp. compared to offline. There are so many things about the online version of the game that the offline doesn't have...........unless you count FSOD, and spammers,and unlegits. And from my experience corruption.....*sobs openly*......... :'( happens far less online than offline. So I highly recommend you get online.

Great thanks, well gonna hit up a eb and not a prob with cords i got a ton of em. Guess ya might see me around, gonna hit up the other forum info so I can learn how to avoid being hacked etc... as for the frozen and black screens the only cure is death heh.

hell yeah.
after i got online i actually never returned offline.
now i cant stand offline. iv been playing it since early july 2003, and still going strong. ur gonna love it. just stay away from vega
