Not Just Support
#1
Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed or mad and go into a long arguement with someone when they say Forces are just good as suppoort and that's all they are? I highly beg to differ for that fact. Yes, Forces are good as support, but don't let their weak attack points fool you! I think that some people should look higher on FO's for the fact that they ARE strong.

What do you get when you have 3 Newmans on the same team? An unbeatable Force!

I am the same, I enjoy close range attacking and I'm a FOnewearl, (sorry Ivan, but I've got to disagree with you there).

Forces can do pretty good in close-range combat, if you use HP adding units like Dragon HP and God HP, if you use 4 of them that's +320HP right there.

People will ask me along, just expecting me to S/D and J/Z, and then they hate it when I end up beating the seven shades out of Olga Flow on Ult with my Elysion or whatever.

Forces can be used in attacking, just as long as you don't expect to do insane ammounts of damage and also, know when to run/heal.

Even though they can't do much damage, surely any damage is better than none at all, (heck I know that on PW4 on Ult, every bit of damage counts).

The bonus is too if you're using a Newman, you can regain your TP whilst standing still, (so even if you run out of items and such, in most cases you only have to wait 5secs before TP'ing back to P2 to heal yourself for a mere 10 meseta).

i see where your coming from. but i dont really like FOs that fight hand-to-hand combat much either. i can see them doing tons of damage casting wise with a Summit Moon or P Wand but not a DB Saber or Holy Ray. for example, my friend has a lvl 191 Fomar and likes to fight with a Holy Ray instead of cast. now we did a ttf run when he was using no magic for damage, just S/D Z/J. we had about a fair time and got a A-Rank (witch isnt the best) then i told him to cast and lent him my Summit Moon and we smoked ttf pretty fast. i fact we cut 20 min off the org. time. so id say that its a better idea to cast then to attack with a FO

yes, but while he was casting he was useing quite a few trifluids, i try to use a medium between casting and attacking with my soul bannish (swing, swing, swing,BOOM!,heal, repeat. or close) it uses up less tp, takes some hits off the hunters (im a FOmar and can survive ult faltz's attacks with hp to spare) ...and i look like a psyco, and thats realy what its all about. i DO have a psyco wand, but i keep it in the bank when i am online, im not going to chance loseing it.

Surviving a DarkFalz attack with no HP to spare is actually very good. It might make your Mag do its special ability Big Grin.

Yes, forces can do hand-to-hand, even the FOmarl. Although every time I did it I complained about how slow her animations seemed to be in comparison with that of the other classes. Took a lot of getting used to, but they can do it, they can!

I have no problem with them being classed as support.
I get really angry when people ask for J/Z/S/D. I'll do it if I feel like it. Which is all the time unless you ask for it. I usually quit if people ask for it more than once, because I'm too busy being killed by something to worry about J/Z/S/D.

i use my forces techniques to support whenever possible and i can do a fair bit of damage but i like to close combat too with my agito as its quite powerful, especially with high levels of shifta
Apologies to my fellow ragol.co.uk Teammates, i'm sorry for leaving you leaderless, and even more so for not getting back. but i wish you the best of luck in my absence! i miss you all!

meleeing with a fonewearl is just silly.

with my fonewearl I do alot of supporting, it just angers me when the demand S&D, alot of my equipment is set up to be better at supporting

Yeah, I was playing with my friend one time and he got very angry that I wasn't casting S/D on him. Then we had a very long talk about FOs. He thought FO's were just for support and if they used techniques they were wasting time and getting in the way. So I suggested we battle. Guess who won? Me. I smoked him with my spells and now he doesn't speak another word about FO's. Did I get my message across to him? Yes.
