Blue Burst gives different section IDs apart from what the previous PSO versions have. Many of you might want to double check your names to see what IDs they give.

Thanks, I see ID changes with characters as well as names, odd but believable.
e.g., Q/A Fun Squad-RAmarl, Viridia. However with FOnewearl they get Oran.

Yeah, and although the drops are unchanged for Ep1&2, the new items in Ep4 brings a new perspective on IDs.

I'm not gonna be on BB, there's nothing new enough for me to play the same game from scratch.

As you see I only have one great character, and cannot afford GC online, which is why I am going to get BB.

A whole new episode is not enough
I do know how you feel though, it can take so long to build up a character. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to Blue Burst very much.

Ep4 really, really sucks, I dare not call it a whole Episode, actually, it's nothing compared to Ep2, and above all, it brings nothing new. It's like playing the same game with a new skin, that's not what I want.

Then wouldn't PSO episode 2 be nothing compared to episode 1? Episode 2 is hard, what a difference... I would get it even though I could care less about episode 4, it's going to be my only easy way into PSO online.

Episode 2 brought a major change on gameplay.
And the most important thing between v1+2 (DC) and v3 (GC/Xbox), is that they redid everything: graphics, difficulty, drops, rates, stats, attributes, and the game mechanics themselves, and everything for the better.
Ep4 does not bring anything new, on some aspects, it's even worse than GC (graphically, for instance).
Not worth restarting from scratch. But if you have no other PSO, BB is probably the best choice. If I was to start PSO now, I'd still pick GC, but that's because I know it so well, so meh.
