New PSU E3 vid w/ gameplay!!!

I don't know if anyone has watched this yet but it looks AMAZING!!! The graphics are far better than I thought and the clipping range on the areas is breathtaking. The battle animations are absolutely beautiful. The way the characters and enemies move is so much more lifelike and unique! There seems to be alot more enemies now and the areas look to have more variety as well. The battle system seems intact from PSO, but did you notice the main character strafing near the beginning of the vid? So expect some more little tweaks to the controls.

The biggest thing that had me clinching my teeth with excitement was the character creation. If you watch the vid you'll notice that you can now customize eye size, shape and color! And now the classes have different choices of outfits, not just colors, completely different looking outfits! *gasp* Whew...I can't wait to hear more details as they are revealed during E3 but this first vid is astounding! I'm sure that Lee will have a big article for us soon with details, but if you haven't seen this yet download it at this link and be prepared to drool.

Ah, if im correct this could be the Pre-E3 Hands On IGN got to experience before the event at Sonic Team of America's HQ - I envy the lucky son of a b*tch who got to play that game before any of us, or anyone at all before E3.

I havent actually watched the footage yet, but im downloading it now! I did however make a few new comments about new features in a news post somewhere on Ragol.co.uk not long ago. Should still be on the frontpage.

I however, alike you, cannot wait for some more E3 goodness from Sonic Team themselves... Mmmmmm, Universe...

[EDIT] Wow, thats quite a trailer! Sonic Team call it the best Phantasy Star online game to date - and it doesnt seem to disappoint at the moment from that footage! Im also loving the new enemies, stages, characters, vehicles, and the character creation menu like you mentioned Kisanzi! You can change the colour of their eyes using a colour palette! You can even change the position and angles at which everything seems to fit :S Its amazing! Heres 4 screenies i just took from the trailer should anyone be having any doubts about downloading it or not (Which you SHOULD!).

The strafing bit is common sense: After all, a PS2 controller has more shoulder triggers than a GC controller, so a button has probably been assigned to "Lock On". Probably L1.

Regardless, those screenshots look awesome. I'll probably download the trailer when I get in from school...

I just watched the 'developer interview video' over at Gamespot:

He mentioned the basic outlook of the PSU game - Offline mode being a full single player RPG, and online mode being the space for our own personalised characters, and taking place directly after the offline story.

He also mentions a 'winter 2006' release... :'(

I may be the only one that cares, but in the scenes that show that (beautiful) grassy plains area, you can see the shadows of clouds moving around...although thats no technical wonder, I was pretty impressed when I discovered that, I love lil details
