Challenge mode
#1
Anyone have any personal tips and tricks to Challange mode? please dont just post up guides-i can easily look them up myself. im wanting to be ready once BB challange mode comes around. Some of my Questions-
1.What are the best characters to use for it?
2.How do you get the best times on the maps?
3.Are there any secret tricks you have found out about?
Thank you for your support.

1) hucaseal is perfect for beginners
2) a- knowing the maps, the puzzles, the switches -> learn the maps and guides
2) b- know how to kill something quickly (a.k.a. 1on1 TA technique)

it usually consists of doing NH NH NHH combos from the side. remember that the third part of most weapon animations will leave you with a recovery second so just skip the third attack unless you know you can finish off an enemy with it. and from the side... well, seeing as most enemies attack frontally, attacking from the side or behind is obviously a better idea than from the front.
furthermore, dont cancel eachother out. it still has to be figured out how much damage cancel BB creates, but number 1 idea of time attack is that each player takes care of one enemy until the room / wave is cleared out.

3) dont try TA tricks (like squeezing through the rocks in c8 ) unless you are really doing TA. and those tricks have to be checked if they're still working on BB anyway.

anyway, its pure training. the more you play, the more you try to improve and learn, the better and quicker you are.

good luck & have fun

Any character that has great stats from level 1-20 will help, that is why Rangers are usually excluded form Challenge mode (Jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none in beginning).

dont confuse him. fonl has awesome stats for cmode and yet a beginner will fail or at least hinder a good run.

hucl is perfect for cmode.
can use guns early / at all, has more ata than huct and still ok atp, a good trapgrowth (huct has best trapgrowth tho), they can see traps (which is a big plus for getting used to the maps).

noone likes a ranger in cmode. honestly >_> they can be grand, but until they find the right equipment (hell weaponry, demon, elemental, etc) they're a deadweight.

dont mind masterofchaos, he always makes stupid mistakes( no offense ian, or is it) :cheeky: ill give you guys an example or a few examples to be correct: we (me and masterofchaos's friends) now refer to june 7 as Ian's Bad Day. first riding down a hill on his bike he smashes his peticulars Tongue next he wipes out on his bike and almost breaks his arm trying to wave to me, then he dropped a paper on his paper route, bent down to pick it up and then smashed his head on the mailbox nearly breaking it off Big Grin , oh yeah and he also fell down his stairs that night Big Grin sorry ian i couldnt resist telling other people.
