Traps

I've just started using a andriod for the first time and i was wondering if there is any wya to get traps other then by leveling up? (or creating a new game)

nope you only get traps by lvling. Good luck with your new android though.

freeze traps are nice for strong monsters and confuse traps are ok but i hate the damage ones-they do little damage and with no special ability the pretty much suck.

traps can be very useful to clear a room quickly / buying time when facing many and or dangerous monsters.
using them skillfully is a big advantage in all three modes - singlemode, multimode/online and esp cmode. and especially in higher levels you get that many of them that you easily can get from one healring to the next with using them often. actually, trapgrowth is for me the only reason to level androids higher than lets say... 140.

Apologies if this is hijacking his topic... Any tips, then, for good trap usage? I've got a HUcaseal and I know I could be using her better. My main trouble with traps is getting them to go off at the right time. What I try to do is lay a freeze trap as I'm running away, then turn around 180 and shoot it with a handgun, but it's a bit hit-and-miss (no pun intended).

one big tip to all androids: if you have traps left when you reach a healing ring, you have not used enough traps.

traps replenish at a healing ring, and at the medical centre. my main piece of advice to all androids- if you have used all your traps, gone to the medical centre, and replenished them, come back down, and then reach a healing ring still with traps you definately havent used enough traps. think of traps as techs- theyre bloody helpful, USE THEM!!! with a ranger android, use a shot type to detonate the trap, with a HU android, use a slicer type to detonate them.

im not too sure but i think u get ur traps back when u go on quit i havnt checked yet

Ah alrighty I never realized that the traps come back (probably cause I didn't want to waste any if they didn't). Thats good news now I won't have to worry about using them
