Surviving FSOD?

I don't really know if anyone else gets fed up with losing unequiped items when you get FSOD- i am. The first two times it happened i lost all my items but then i did something the third time it happened then when i checked my items they were all still there. So now when it happens i do this and it seems to work.

When i got fsod instead of resetting my gc i turned the power totally off then on again. When i selected my character it says 'you did not finish the game properley all items are lost' but i go into offline game anyway and dont check my item pack i went straight to checkroom and selected deposit. Then the list of all my items were still there to deposit but i just exited the checkroom then checked item pack and the items that should be lost were still there. I always do this now so i do not know if it is just lucky i dont lose items or that it really works! I am still going to keep doing it though so i dont know whether not doing it will make items dissappear(:confused: that make sense??)

Next time it happens try it and see if it is just me of whether it works-maybe sometimes you dont lose items when fsod i dont really know-its just that each time it happened to me i lost them!

Although, I think I would rather lose unequipped items than all my guild cards. Unless it was my beloved S-Rank or Storm Wand:Indra hehehe. When I FSOD, I create a multiplayer game offline. That worked once. I think. I guess it depends on when you FSOD.

Incidently, I was on US ships all day yesterday, doing those guides, and I got dced 3 times, for no reason. Straight in the middle of a game. Never happened on EU or JP servers.

To be honest tho, now i am so worried about it i never really have things i like in my item pack unless ive equiped them -i usually store them now. The only things i'd lose would be antidotes and fluids etc but they are easy enough to replace obviously!

Ok this is GOLDIES' GUIDE TO AVOIDING FSOD:

1)STAY OUT OF POLARIS 1 AND ATANRES 8
2)DON'T DUPE OR ACCEPT DUPED ITEMS (USUALY DEFINED FOR THERE 10, 11 or 12 star ranking)
3)THINK IT AS A FOREST STICK TO THE RECOMENDED ROADS(LOBBYS)
4)BECOME A PURE LEGIT
5)INEVITABLY YOU CAN STILL GET FSOD NO MATTER WHAT BUT STICK BY THESE RULES AND HAVE A BIT OF FAITH AND YOU WILL BE JUST FINE, TRUST ME...

Goldie is right. Ever snce I went legit I havent had an FSOD or DC once!

You cant realy avoid FSOD, because it WILL happen to you at one point in your HL time. Just store all ur items in bank and if the worst does happen just turn the GC back on and Re-Connect, just dont go to that server again.
