And look at forest to! It has little side rails camping spots and other points of interest, who here besides me is outraged all this cool stuff never got into the final release?

And all this time I thought ST put in no work only to find they do but they hog it all to themselves!

See those rung - steps in the background? What wouldnt you give to walk up those!

Why was this awesomeness not included in Blue Burst! AAAARGH!

They appear for me.

So ST made cool looking stuff, but then downgraded it so that we wouldn't start to expect much work from them. I suppose they thought "If we do good work now, they'll expect us to keep it up online.... We can't let that happen!"

Lazy -insert string of explicatives that would cause me to be banned if I actually typed them-.
Too legit to quit.

Lol! Wow, now thats very cool stuff indeed, although i should have thought that the forest bit you've posted would have been complicated to walk/fight around, especially with the way character movement stops when you get near anything like a wall or a post in the Dreamcast version.

Also that Pioneer 2 doesnt look anywhere near as futuristic as the current one does. Besides if you were playing in that world of BETA now as the final version and saw photo's of the current forest/Pioneer 2, you'd probs be saying the same thing Tongue

If you have the DC box, you can see the Grass Assassin in F1. That's more official then having a pic of the same thing on Google.

Did you even read the thread title? First ever PSO! DC version 1!

Also Lee, the feeling I get from the old P2 is that it is a lot bigger and that you actually would have to trawl the shops. You know the background building models on the new pioneer 2? Well you could go there! More freedom, I'd prefer it.

(look carefully, the old dragon is slightly different, it is nothing on the final relase one though!)

I saw these on GameFAQs a while back, ah, brings the memories of first getting ver.1 on the Dreamcast Tongue

I kinda prefer Pioneer 2 as it's so much busier, and forest is just generally more detailed too. Like Lee said though, that would be a nightmare to walk around given PSO's strict clipping limits!
Hey, I can still..
