AIM Sounds

Ok, does anyone know how to set it so that when you IM someone they hear what you choose?

Depends on what you have, did you download AIM or do you have AOL as an ISP?
(If you have AOL, it already has a built-in AIM service)

MSN is my ISP, and I downloaded AIM.

Ah okay.
Well..if you have an IM box open, go to the top and click "File".
Go down to "IM Preferences".
After that, on the left, click on "Expressions".
Then, you'll be able to change your buddy icon and on the bottom be able to change your IM sound.

On the bottom half, where it says "Outgoing sounds"
Click on the right where it says "Set expressions" on the first selection in "Outgoing sounds"

I did that but I want to use audio clips I have on my computer. I did what you say and it makes me buy them. That's a rip off. I can have a ringtone on my phone for less than that forever and I have to pay $10 a month for a half a second sound everytime I IM someone???
