Okay, I know this is very noobish of me, but I have no freakin clue how to create your own avatar.
Or, at least, I don't know what kind of software you need.
I've been meaning to create an avatar for all my various forum activities, here and elsewhere, but I don't know how.
If this has been asked before, please don't get mad at me. It's not my fault! I swear!

... I was afraid you were going to say that...
See, that stuff costs money, which is what I don't have.
I guess I'll have to use my little HUmar for a while longer, then.

I don't think my art skills will be making me any money any time soon.
However, it's always worth a try!
Thanks for the help.

You could always Google for an image of something that would interest you.

That's what I did.
Alternatively, you could try to use Paint.

Tried it. Hated it.
Besides, I can't figure out how to shrink images.

You can use programs as simple as Paint or use advanced programs like Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop if you have any of them (You'll defo have paint regardless, everyone does!). To resize with paint, go to 'Image' then 'Stretch and Skew' and you'll be asked of how big you want your image in terms of Horizontal length and vertical length in %.
Save your image when it's been resized to preferably a .gif image ('File' then 'Save As...' then while using the Save As... Dialogue box, click the 'Save As Type' drop down list and choose .gif), and you've got a smaller image!
To load it onto the forums and use it as your avatar, go to 'User CP' then 'Edit Avatar', then click the 'Browse' button in the last option box and choose your image where-ever you saved it too, then click 'Upload' and you've got a brand new avatar.

Huh. Cool. I never knew you could shrink stuff with paint.
Thanks Lee-yoshi!
