I was just wondering if there were any other Japanese film addicts out there. My all time favorite movies are Ping Pong and Battlefield Baseball. If you haven't seen them you need to check them out like woah xD lol. Ping Pong is more serious but has a ton of funny parts to it. It is based off a manga which is equally amazing. Battlefield Baseball is also based off of a manga, which I have not yet seen, but am searching for virtually every day lol. That movie is completely random and hilarious. Anyone else have a favorite Japanese or Asian movie?

mine is 'shall we dansu'. second best are... tie between 'himitsu no hanasono', 'shichijin no samurai' and various kitano movies.

All the works of Miyazaki that I've seen so far have completely amazed me. Not sure if that's exactly what you were talking about, but they're the only Japanese films I've seen.

J-Horror films are love.
Seriously. Most american horror movies are all about how much guts they can slam in your face in a short spann of movie time. Japanese Horrors movies are a true art form. Psychological, frightening and beautiful. That goes for Korean ones as well.
I recently acquired "Jurei: The Uncanny" (NOT the Grudge). Scared the bejeebus outta me cause of how they did it o.o

Iron monkey is an oldie but nonetheless very entertaining. Who'd have thought an umbrella would have made a weapon THAT good.
Also got into Takashi's films recently. Check out Audition and Ichi the killer. Both very different,both a riot.
