You will need atleast 700 HP (which has been said) but still BE CAREFUL! The green ball of death, doom, and destruction still travels faster than you, and if you are missing a bit of HP, then you'll still be killed.
For stage 2, you will want the strongest Mechgun you have along with a decent POW mag and S/Z. If you are doing little or no damage though (ex: 0,0,0 - 0,0,0 - 0,0,0), then a Red Handgun will be better. (It is slightly stronger than the Holy Ray, and the Rifle range doesn't matter in that room lol.) If by any chance you have a Gi-Gue Bazooka too, for the love of God, use it. Though I doubt you have one at level 116... (You might be able to trade for one.)
For the Shock status from the "toush batons", when the 6 (or 8?) things pop up in the first stage, the red flashing one will attack you once (in Ultimate with either Foie, Gibarta, or Gizonde). The farther you are though, it seems to to less damage. Then after you get hit once, you can hit the red flashing one and it will go away and not hit you a second time. But you will eventually need to kill all the pillars anyway, so beat up on the blue ones until after the first hit, then get the red one. A Cure/Shock is also very useful there, and for the Freeze (Gibarta) you can just wiggle the control stick.
