Ooho I didn't know it was an anime! I noticed though I can only find books of it on Amazon. Is it only being aired in Japan right now?

Hikaru no Go has been shown on U.S T.V and the Manga has been released there and in the UK and Europe too.

What is 'go' exactly I see it played in the series but I don't know what it is exactly is it another form of chess or checkers? :S

Um...not really. The most basic way to explain it is: You place stones on a grid and try to surround your opponent's stones. It's actually a lot more complicated when played, though. Wink
