Lots of questions about mario kart ds

i have some questions... a lot of questions... some one please answer them ;-;.

1. Does the item stat apply online?
2. do any stats apply online?
3. do certain chars find more of an item? (i.e. toad finds more mushrooms)
4. Is weight the stat that affects how hard it is too turn or is it handle?
5. What does drift do?
6. what is the best cart? (i dont want an opinionated question, i want a fact )
7. Is there even a best cart?
8. Why do people say R.O.B. is the best char? does'nt it matter what kart you pick, not what char?
9. Is it my connection or does everyone usually have to do the "search for players" a mininum of 2 times?
10. If i press the "erase data" button does it erase my online record too?
11. when i search for "friends" it searches for people off my friend list, right?
12. when im searching for people and it finds a person is there a way to go? or do you have to wait?
13. when im searching for "friends" does it search for 4 or once it finds a friend it starts?
14. If i have some ones friend code but they dont have mine when i press search for friends will it still look for them? or since both of us dont have each other's friend codes we cant race together unless we meet each other randomly?

14. I'm guessing that if you add them but they don't add you, then they're your friend but you're not theirs. So you can find and race you, but they can't find and race you.

no. i know this because bowser in the hurricane (full weight) drives in to dry bones in the tank (very light) nothing happens

no, weight means if you drive in to another car, the one thats lighter will go flying. the bigger the difference, the further they fly
5. What does drift do?
drift and tap left-right-left-right to get a mini boost
6. what is the best cart? (i dont want an opinionated question, i want a fact )
what do you want to do? rob bls is best for speed, bowser in the hurricane is heaviest, etc.
7. Is there even a best cart?
no!
8. Why do people say R.O.B. is the best char? does'nt it matter what kart you pick, not what char?
the chars affect slightly the stats of the cars

it erases everything you have done. like, everything

people ON your friend list

if theres a way to go i would love it!!

searches for 4, if it doesnt find them it may time out. just wait!

you have to have each others codes. cant be a one way thing

cumon, your telling me youve never driven in to some really light person with a massively heavy person or vice versa or seen that happen, and saw nothing change? wow.. and you've never failed the starting boost as a character with awesome acceleration and a person your playing against has also failed, with no acceleration and you both go off at the same speed and if its straight achieve the same top speed? yes, the choice is there purely for looks

im pretty sure the reason for this is to stop n00bs being left in the dust by experienced players with kick-ass carts.

But surely no karts are actually better than others... Sorry but I can't believe that they'd give you a choice of all the karts for nothing...

faulkie r.o.b. doesnt have a better cart selection unless you only unlocked 3 carts for each char and not all 36.

(unlock 3 carts for each by doing 150cc nitro or retro, i forget ) and unlock all 36 by doing retro 150cc mirror mode and unlock R.O.B. by doing 150cc mirror mode nitro cup. (getting gold, of course)
