Taking yourself too seriously?

This morning I have realised something about some members (who will remain unamed unless willing to step forward and admit) take themselves too seriously. I was setting up a trade with someone, and becasue I didn't know what the percenetages of the item ment it was not legit, he became very rude, saying I hacked, or was just being naive.

Now I'm not trying to insult anyone here, if I have I am deeply sorry. However I would like to get back to my main point here.

Some people take it that anyone with a weapon with "odd stats" could be a hacker, someone who just wants the weapon, or an idiot. Personaly, I dont think saying or calling anyone this is very right. People need to just relaxe in general. Not everyone knows off the bat that something with a 60%hit is illegit. Many may, but i however did not, and that is what got me a very rude message back from that member.

Once again, my intent was not to insult or make fun of anyone, or get anyone in trouble. I just wanted to get this issue in the open, so that some people can know how they are acting, while other could possibly be prepared for this issue to affect them.

the problem with PSO is that its so full of hackers with uber %'d weapons, so if you have a 100,0,0,100,60 TJS, then its hardly surprising people think you are illegit. however, if you have a 100,0,0,100,60 raygun then that can be expected to be found through normal play after a VERY long time. next time you want to have a moan about people critisising you for having awesome %s and so being a hacker consider this: have you ever found a common wep that has more than 60 hit? if the answer is no, then why have you found it on a rare- rares are so much less common, so the chances are so much smaller. cumon, its not exactly like its hard to get an uber % weapon through illegitness, is it?

meh... the thing about trades is that both people have different ideas of how good stuff is...
say they have a really good hunter weapon, but the person trading for it has seen it before, one may thuink its far better...

This guy offered me a 65 hit Bringer's Rifle in exchange for some things on my tradelist, in which I specifically asked for legit weapons. 65 hit. On an enemy weapon. Everyone knows that's impossible to get without hacking.

I don't take myself too seriously, I'd just appreciate it if you wouldn't deliberately offer me hacks when I asked for legit stuff. That's just courtesy.

- I am in Temple, hunting an Egg Rappy with a Racast in my team.
- Titan enters, level 200.
- He says "You guys legit?" (I had marked the game with "Legit" in the name)
- Me and Racast: "Yes."
- Titan: "Okay, I will get my legit mag then. Now I am legit. "
- Me: "Uh, you aren't battle leved, are you? >.> "
- Titan: "No, the only hacked I used it my mag."
- Me: "Fine, don't use any hacks, and I won't mind... Red pipe."
- Titan: "Thanks." *pipes down*
- Racast: "o.o"
- Me: "Legit TJS? o.o"
- Titan: "WTF is an TJS?"

reading that made me laugh abit. i have played with netnomad alot and he does not think of him self seriously, sure he shows off his dc and other ubers and i do not care. ark might not of known that he got a hacked item off a hacker himself and i think that the reaction that the members gave you ark are resonable because they are more exprenced then you ark.

now you know that all emany wepions (boomas arm ect...) are 0 hit ligitly. (no offance to anyone here just my point of view)

Well as I told netnomad, I said I was unawear what the precentage hit max was, and I was unawear of enemy wps being 0%. I dont care really bout all this, it would be no big deal. It was just the reaction he had is what got me. I have never seen such a rude message from anyone on this site before, so i was quite taken back.

This is the message he sent me as a reply once I gave him the stats btw:

"I am not stupid; don't try to pass that shit off on me. What I boldfaced isn't even POSSIBLE without hacking; the rest of those % were probably hacked or added with duped Photon Spheres.

If you're just naive (which I somehow doubt), you need to learn not to accept random gifts and obvious hacks like those. Otherwise, peddle your hacks somewhere else, because no one here will take them. >_<"

And as I believe I told you, I've had far too many hacks pushed in my face before to respond to every one of them with the same amount of patience. Especially since I believe you told me you've been playing this game awhile, for you to not have known the impossibility of those items is very dubious.

Even so... if you're going to post what I said to you... would you like me to dig into my PM box and post where you said to me that "it doesn't matter" if an item is legit or not? I specifically asked for legit stuff, you PMed me with stuff that was illegit, and then told me it didn't matter.
