E3 2006
#1
Ok, E3 2006 is apperantly today, so i would like to know all that is heard and yet to be heard.
Anyone caught smoking at Layer Road will be buried in the
centre circle by the forking groundsman, with only their head
showing, and left there during the second half.
Previous threats of electrocution, being made to listen to Will
Young and being hung from the floodlights have
failed to discourage all the smokers.

If Cardiff players had to stand and pay respects to an English national anthem, would they? I don't think so.
But Arsenal players manage to do it.

Sony had theirs yesterday, today is Nintendo's, with Microsoft's shortly afterwards.

[EDIT]
MCV Wrote:Final PS3 joypad unveiled
09:30, May 9th by Ben Parfitt

Sony’s ill-received boomerang PS3 controller has been consigned to the history books, and in its place has emerged a remake of the familiar Dualshock with integrated motion sensing technology.

As well as being wireless and sporting two triggers where the L2 and R2 buttons used to sit, integrated six-axis movement sensing will allow gamers to control the action by simply moving their pads.

The tilting angle of the joysticks has also been increased, and the pad now boasts a central button sporting a PlayStation logo, which is presumed will access menu functions on the final console.

However, in the process of being upgraded the Dualshock has lost its vibrating function, with Sony claiming that the feature clashed with the new motion sensing technology.

Having just seen most the conference on GameTrailers.com (Well, heard most of it, dam lame internet connection!), looks like Wii is gonna be FANTASTICO!

Some of those new games looked great, can't wait to play Red Steel, and that weather game sounded very interesting too!

There's trouble ahead. I can see it now. Kutaragis head will roll. His Ps3 grill will still have the major market share but going by what we have witnessed at this years E3, it would seem Ms and N are going to gobble up some of Sonys market. OOps, Sony knows they NEED 70% domination to turn a profit, what will happen now? I hope they(Sony) stay in the game market because it is a narrow market(only 3 competitors) and the competition is needed to keep things fresh. Just look at the big N and what they felt they had to do. Sacrifice HD et al for the true 3D control. Hope it works out for them and us, because who knows how this will affect gaming in the future. The possibilities ARE mind-boggling.

Possible £200 launch, £30-£40 games, they just might you know, just might..........

Iwata has stated that he would be happy with 40-60 million Wii units(lol) sold. Doesn't seem like many does it, but on todays figures if cube had that sort of penetration then we would have had a LOT more 3rd party support for cube.
