Wii: "will not exceed 25,000 yen" (£119)
#1
Quote:According to Next Generation, Nintendo Executive, Yoshihiro Mori has informed the press that the Japanese corporation had set as its target a price point of Y25,000 for its upcoming Wii console.

While no mention of the US, UK or Euro price points where made, with current exchange rates, the figure roughly translates to £119, meaning that the chance of a sub-£150 Wii console is a serious possibility. The company also outlined its current sales targets for the console outlining that it plans to sell upwards of 6 million consoles and 17 million software units before March 2007.

No release date has been announced for the console although these figures are usually 6 month predictions meaning that the console may hit the shops sometime in October 2006. The news comes as Nintendo announces a fall in revenue with its current generation console, the Gamecube all but a dead duck floating in the water.

If I don't know what lies beyond
Desire is now the one in control
Am I strong enough to not ever know just what I'd find?
Should I press on?
