Chao Raising

Most of you remember these little guys being placed at the end of a certain battle staff in PSO or being found during the end part of the FiY quest.

On the Dreamcast and Gamecube (and even PC now) these guys have made an appearance in Sonic Adventure and SA2(Battle).

Any of you have a prized chao or two?

Here's mine. He's called TAI and he's not a perfect chao but he beat all of the challenge and light/dark races. He's also able to enter the "Super" level of chao karate.







He has the unicorn horn, the dragon horns and the hero chao horns, meaning he wears a crown of five horns ^_^

Who else has a chao?

lol.. got no screenshot, but my chao Helix, (silver dragon chao), had run 99 and stamina 99... lol... its power let him down tho vs the dvil chao

Apparently when a chao dies and is reborn it keeps 10% of its stats. So if you get those 10% stats and raise the chao the same amount as you did the time before it will be stronger.

I guess technically this means that the level of a stat doesn't make the chao strong. Also the ranks of a chaos' abilities (found at the doctor) seem to have an effect on how good those stats will be compared to another chao at the same level with a different rank in that stat.

I think the trick is to breed or through sheer determination reborn your chao so many times it starts with all S - Rank stats.

The thing is, even thos doesnt mean your chao will max

The boost you get from a chaos' level up is random. It could add around 18 points to the leveled stat or it could add 30. If you want a maxed chao I guess you have to reset every time the chao levels and doesnt get a 30 :S

I doubt anyone has done that, ever!

TAI is almost ready to become a light chao now, then he'll be immortal, yays!

But I'm wondering if I should raise all his stats to 99 first so he'll be the best 'immortal' chao he can be?

oh, yay! go Chao! my best chao is a angel chao (the immortal chaos kind), her name is Cuckoo. she's plain white and pink, like the shiny angel chaos chao, and her stats aren't all that great (yet!) my second best is my neutural swimming chao, Peaches, who is red and has too much swim power! I have many others, but these are my best two!

Apparently all immortal chao look exactly the same apart from their alignment (light chao/angel chao/devil chao) differences (or if you create them using a mono-toned chao/jewel chao)

I'm going to make a light chao, since he can compete in both hero and dark races

His stats should be pretty good.

yeah, my angel chao is just the basic angel chao, the shiny white and pink one (which is adorable). I remember, back in the day, when Chaolin was still alive...he was my bro's best chao, he had 4 children and a loving wife (who died shortly after he did), and he won almost all of the races and karate tournaments that there were! sadly, he died a very confused and unhappy chao, and did not come back. too bad, he could've won with a little more training before that magical 6th year deathday ^_^;;

Oh well. I'm going to make a basic light chao with TAI. I just finished raising all his stats to 99 so in his next life he should have a nice boost to get him going.

Edit:

I did it! It's TAI's second rebirth and I gave him one of each animal - He now has a neutral alignment. Should make him a light chao when he evolves in just under an hour from now ^_^

Before he died, I had him beat every race and karate mode available. The only one he hasnt done is the dark races (he was a hero and couldn't enter )

i had several chaos on sonic adventure 1, deleted the save by mistake and i don't want to raise more
i had an orange one (dragon like) a night one, and some others, but they after some time they reborn as new mags so i could only raise one so i made a sonic one, took me a hole day of feading marsupials

I found it hard to raise multiple chao's to! That's why I just finished making TAI into the immortal light chao! ^_^
