Offline Multiplayer PSO Days!!!

Or, put otherwise, me and a few mates played 3 Player PSO for a whole day atsraight the other day until about 5am the following morning - suffice to say Uni the next day (Or later the day we finished playing) didn't happen.

However, offline split-screen PSO action, mkaig characters from scratch, makes PSO still one of the best games of it's type today! I'm quite gutted to hear there's no offline multiplayer at all in PSU :'( Oh well, we'll just have to stick with happy ol' PSO days!

Let the good times... continue to roll!
Maybe they didn't put it in so that people could go back to playing PSO once in a while. Heh, I already made a thread to complain about the lack of offline multiplayer mode in PSU, so I won't start again. Tongue

Yes, I agree. PSO forever and ever. It is simply THE best game of its type.
I agree! I am completely in love with PSO, and I would be up until 5 AM playing it too if I had any other friends that play PSO to play multi/online with all day! I could keep making characters until the end of my existance, although I won't! There's so much to do- I often spend a lot of time in the character creation menu, just thinking of combinations to try out and people to recreate! I love PSO!
Hehe, what's cool is that one guy asked me to play it right out of the blue as he hadn't played it for ages, and the third player was all new to the game Big Grin (Although it was quite annoying after a while XD)
That sounds fun! Other than my brother, I only have one other person who has a character, who is like level 18 and he only made him when he was at my house and I MADE him do it!
pso and psu share the same basics, but you do diferent things in each of them.

pso in my opinion is smother and full of action that can look repetitive but it is awsome....expecialy multiplayer (Angry , i do not have multiplayer)
I like the Pso offline multiplayer I wish they had it on PSU ah well Se La Vi. At least I can still remember the good old days...I kinda wished that the split screen was better.
Indeed, 'c'est la vie', as the French speakers would say. The 2-player split-screen is evil when fighting Dragons! They should have had a vertical/horizontal split screen toggle option instead of permanent horizontal. XD It's not quite widescreen either and you can never see where you are during those bossfights. Much better than it not existing, though, especially that the number of monster spawns is similar to Online. It's also absolutely essential for trading between characters if you're stuck offline. I wonder how you trade offline in PSU.

Tongue I also 'forced' many people play PSO. I think my neighbour's afraid to come over now because I always ask him to play PSO with me/talk non-stop about PSO. Tongue
You can't trade between your offline characters on PSU. It barely matters though, it's not hard to get all that there is to need offline.
It all depends on your point of view as to whether or not it's unmatched. I personally find PSO boring of late, mainly due to a large influx of newer, better-looking games. Since I usually play alone apart from the very rare online occasions, multiplayer mode doesn't matter to me, I use it only to trade rares to weaker characters to get them a boost early on. Besides, i've noticed glitching in places now, too, and i'd rather not shell out the £30 to buy a (pre-owned) copy again. I have better things to put my cash to use for. So I don't feel it's the greatest game, i've found others tha have better occupied my time. Added to the fact there aren't any voices in PSO, and the music to me is annoying as hell.
